Out of the 40 facts about jewelry, list the 3 you find most interesting?

-The ancient Chinese loved silver much more than gold, using the metal to craft
beautiful pieces studded with blue kingfisher feathers and various blue gemstones. But
their main obsession was with jade, which they loved for its alleged human qualities:
hardness, durability and beauty( I thought this was interesting because you often hear
of people loving gold more than silver)

-Snail shell beads found in Africa date back 75,000 years, discovered in the ancient
Blombos Cave.( I thought this one was interesting because 75,000 years is very very
old)

-More beads, made from ostrich egg shell, have been found in Kenya’s Enkapune Ya
Muto and date back more than 40,000 years.( I found this interesting because i have
never heard of ostrich eggs being used in jewlery)

8. Use a Google search to explain the difference between what is Casting vs.
Fabrication process of jewelry, how are the processes different?
-fabricated parts are welded to make a bigger component and may includ forged or die
cast parts.
-Castings are made by pouring molten metal into a mold and turned into a solid form.

9. Describe a piece of jewelry worn by you, or someone you know, maybe a family
member... and tell of its significance to you or them.
I like to wear a gold necklace with three green beads in the middle. The stones are
made out of moldivaite which is sopossedf to help you find your ture path. I dont know if
it actually works but after I started wearing it an unexpected spot opened up in my CNA
class and now I am a CNA and absolety love my job. But I dont necessary wear it
bewcasue of that i wear it because it’s very pretty
