With bread-baking on the rise these past couple of years,
people have gotten creative in order to satisfy their cravings.

THE POACH
APPROACH
Here’s how to make perfectly
poached eggs every time.

Step 1: Prepare the Water

Place 2-3 in. water in a deep skillet
or saucepan; bring it to a boil.
Add 1-2 tsp. white vinegar and 1 tsp.
kosher salt. Lower heat so water no
longer boils but bubbles are gently
springing from bottom of pan.

Step 2: Prepare the Eggs

Break cold eggs, 1 at a time, into
ramekins or small bowls. Don’t
crack the eggs directly into the
water—the less disturbed the
egg is as you drop it in, the better.

Step 3: Poach Away

Gently stir the water in a clockwise
motion. Hold egg bowl over water
as close as you comfortably can;
gently slip in an egg. Give it a few
seconds to swirl and gather itself.

Step 4: Remove & Enjoy!
