REMOVE THE AFT CRADLE STOPPER PIN AND RELEASE THE RELEASE WIRE ON THE PLATFORM. RELEASE AFT GRIPE AND CLEAR THE LASHING

1. ALL PERSONNEL SHALL GO IMMEDIATELLY TO THEIR 3. BRIDGE AND ENGINE WATCHKEEPERS TO REMAIN AT THEIR POST UNTIL
MUSTER STATION. THEY ARE RELIEVED BY THE DEDICATED PERSON.

2. ALL PERSONNEL TO BRING THEIR OWN LIFE JACKETS AND 4. MASTER AND TEAM LEADERS TO BE INFORMED FOR THE NATURE OF THE
IMMERSION SUITS AT THE MUSTER STATION. EMERGENCY AND ACT ACCORDINGLY.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. NO SURVIVAL VESSEL SHALL BE LAUNCHED WITHOUT THE ORDER OF THE CAPTAIN OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE.

2. ANY FIRE, INRUSH OF WATER OR ANY OTHER DANGER HAS TO BE REPORTED WITHOUT DELAY TO THE BRIDGE OR TO THE PERSON ON
WATCH.
3. IF THE CO2 ALARM SOUNDS IN THE ENGINE ROOM, PERSONNEL SHALL EVAQUATE THE ENGINE ROOM IMMEDIATELLY AND GO TO THEIR
MUSTER STATION.
4. CHIEF OFFICER AND CHIEF ENGINEER ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES AND FIRE FIGHTING
EQUIPMENT (SOLAS CH. III - REG. 37.4).
5. 2ND OFFICER IS THE HOLDER OF SHIP'S GO (GENERAL OPERATOR) CERTIFICATE WHO HAS PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY FOR
RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS DURING DISTRESS INCIDENTS.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ABANDONING THE SHIP: AS REQUIRED/ORDERED BY MASTER AND/OR CHIEF OFFICER.

LAY DOWN SECOND FIRE HOSE AND CONNECT TO HYDRANT CLOSE TO THE SCENE OF FIRE.
FIRE FIGHTING: USE FIRE HOSE WHEN ORDERED BY THE TEAM LEADER.

MAN OVERBOARD: KEEP LOOKOUT AND INFORM ELECTRICIAN FOR ANY OBJECT OBSERVED.
OIL SPILL: ASSIST 3RD ENGINEER IN THE E/R.
