ABSTRACT

This study is to demonstrate the Hindreances of

having business amidst the pandemic in Marketview

Lucena city. Through both qualitative and quantitative

research approach. The data analysis result shows that

many small and large businesses are suffering

challenges and this unprecedented coronavirus crisis

has caused destruction for many businesses in the globe

and it is challenging to survive with reduced revenue,

jobs lost and life slowing down and weak marketing

performance even difficult to keep a calm head and

their business alive. Reduce expenses, be open to their

employees about their finances and keep marketing, use

different alternatives to deliver their product and

recover from the crisis.

INTRODUCTION

According to World Health Organization

(WHO) declared on January 30 coronavirus disease

2019 (COVID-19) a Public Health Emergency of

International Concern, and on March 11, 2020, it was

declared a pandemic. COVID-19 is characterized by

respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, and

sore throat, as well as fever, tiredness, and myalgia.

Droplets, infected surfaces, and asymptomatic

individuals are thought to disseminate it. Over 3 million

people had been infected worldwide by the end of

April. The Philippines was one of the first countries to

be affected by the current crisis. On January 22, the first

case was suspected, and the country announced the first

COVID-19 death outside of mainland China. The

Philippines, like China, conducted lockdowns in

Manila. School closures and arrests for non-compliance

with requirements were among the other measures. The

Philippines had 8,772 cases and 579 deaths as of the

beginning of May.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

What are the Hindrances of having business amidst the

pandemic in Baranggay Marketview Lucena City?

1. What was the reaction of small businesses to the

COVID-19 realated economic disruptions?

2. How long did businesses find the crisis to last?

3. What effect did this have on their choices?

4. What impact might different policy options have on

the economy and job security?

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

This study is focused on the significant to create

opportunity to all small business and to adapt new

services environment. A limitation of this study is that

it includes only to Barangay Market View Lucena City.

The respondents were 5 to 10 selected to citizens of

Market View that owned small businesses. This will be

conducted on the second semester of the academic year

2021-2022 at Barangay Market View Lucena City.

CONCEPTUAL FRAME WORK

The research paradigm shows the different stages that

led to the percened hindrances of having business

admist of pandemic. Input guided the researchers in

determing the percened.

 Hindrances of having business amidst of

pandemic. This contains the need of target respondents

that we conclude to gather information. Process refers

to the steps followed by the researchers in developing

and validating the study. This contains audio recording

process to analyzing of the data gathered. After the

process, The outputs were the pandemic has a

significant on building business of selected owners in

Marketview, Lucena City.

 INPUT

The respondents are the small businesses in

Marketview, Lucena City.

 PROCESS

We conduct interview to understand clearly the

situation.

 OUTPUT

The pandemic has a significant on building business of

selected owners in Marketview, Lucena City.
