CHALLENGES BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE PANDEMIC IN THE SAN ISIDRO

Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic is shaking the global economy and creating
enormous disruptions to people's lives and means of subsistence as well as to
social and economic systems worldwide. Because of how easily it can be spread,
this virus has spread unevenly throughout the entire world. There is a serious
health emergency with COVID-19, but there is much more. In the short-,
medium-, and long-terms, it is a systemic shock with significant ramifications. A
significant short-term economic contraction has been brought on by this virus,
which has also had other negative effects on business operations and forced the
closure of numerous large and small businesses.Small and medium-sized
businesses worldwide can and should play a critical role

in preventing the rates of unemployment, poverty, and food insecurity from


continuing to soar at any time.

C1. Reasons of conducting this topic


The reasons of conducting this topic is to make everyone aware about
the cause of COVID-19 to our entrepreneurs. Also it demonstrates how both
small and large businesses are facing difficulties. The unprecedented
coronavirus crisis has destroyed many businesses around the world, making it
difficult for them to survive with decreased revenue, lost jobs, slowed-down
life, and poor marketing results. It is even difficult to maintain composure and
keep their business alive.
C2. Expected output
The expected output in this problem is the government should work
with wealthy individuals and other non-governmental organizations to support
these businesses through a variety of mechanisms. Furthermore, small business
owners need to manage expectations and stay in touch with their team,
vendors, banks, and clients during this frightening coronavirus outbreak. In
order to recover from the crisis, companies must cut costs, be transparent with
their workforce about their financial situation, continue marketing, and use a
variety of delivery methods.

C3. Respondent/s
The respondents of this study is those entrepreneurs who have a
successful small and large-sized enterprise business during the pandemics. Also
those people who have a business that affected by the COVID-19.

C4. Place of study


The study will be conducted on San Isidro Super Market, Rizal region
4a Calabarzon. The rational behind this choice is from the interview and survey
of the researcher's. Hence there is a possibility of obtaining all necessary and
relevant data from these places.

C5. Scope and limitations of the study


This study focused on business in the new normal: exploring the
responses of successful small and medium-sized enterprises to the challenges
brought about by the pandemic. This was conducted during the first quarter of
the first semester of school year 2022-2023

The participants involved in this study were all those entrepreneurs


having small and medium-sized enterprises only. The researchers cover up the
identification of the challenges the entrepreneurs face, the effects of those
challenges, and the coping mechanism employed by the owners of the SMEs.
