PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presented the data gathered using questionnaires as well as

data analysis and interpretation by employing the statistical tools mentioned in

the previous chapter. The data gathered were tabulated and analyzed to answer

the specific questions cited in the statement of the problem in Chapter 1. The

analytical tables were presented according to the questionnaires given the

respondents.

Socio-Demographic Profile of the Respondents

The socio-demographic profile of the respondents with respect to their sex,

age, daily allowance, number of siblings, monthly family income, parents highest

educational attainment, year level and final grade presented in Table I.

There are 20 grade 12 students of Cuyapo National High school during

the school year 2021-2022, which served as the respondents.

Sex. The majority of the respondent were female (f=14) with a percentage

of 14% and male respondents (f=6) with a percentage of 6%.

Age. The youngest respondent was 17 years old while the oldest was 18

years old. The age with the highest frequency was on the age of 17 with 12%

each. The lowest frequency was in the age of 18comprising of 8% of the

respondents.

Daily Allowance: It can be clearly seen that 8 out of 20 respondents were

in the allowance bracket of 20-50 pesos having the least percentage with 8% of

the respondents and 12 comprising 12% have 60 and above pesos daily

allowance having the highest frequency among the remaining brackets of daily

allowance.
5

Number of Siblings. It can be clearly seen that 8 out of 20 respondents

were in the siblings bracket 1-4 siblings represent the highest percentage having

16% of the respondents, and 1 comprising 10 of the respondents have 0 siblings

gaining the lowest frequency among the other brackets.

Monthly Family Income. It can be dearly seen that 12 out of 20

respondents were in the monthly family income bracket of 8,000 and below

pesos the highest percentage having 12% of the respondents and 3 comprising

3% of the respondents have 16,000 -32,000 pesos gaining the least frequency

among the other brackets.

Highest Parents Educational Attainment. It can be clearly seen that 8

out of 20 respondents were in the parents highest educational attainment bracket

of high school graduate represent the highest percentage hawing 8% of the

respondents, and 1 comprising 1% of the respondents have elementary and high

school graduate having the least frequency among the remaining brackets of

parents highest educational attainment.

Final Grade. An overwhelming majority, 14 out of 20 respondents were in

the grade bracket of 91-95, while the bracket with the lowest Frequency was in

the grade bracket of 81-85 comprising 1% of the respondents.

Weighted Mean 3.47 AF

Five out of ten indicators were projecting at high frequency namely:

students study the modules in their own working environment (mean: 3.95), it is

more appropriate to mature students (mean: 3.85), it enables the learner to have

a control over his learning (mean = 3.85), students accept greater than

responsibility of learning (mean = 4:1), modules got wider accessibility in the

present educational scenario (mean-3-65). One of the indicators were projecting

at moderate frequency namely: Students can study without disturbing the normal

duties and responsibilities (mean = 2) while four of the indicators was projecting

at an average frequency namely: Learning become more effective (mean = 3:3),

It established a system of assessment other than marks of grades (mean 3.8),

Modules are flexible so that implementation can be made by a variety of patterns

(mean = 3·4), Modules are economical in their use (mean = 2.75). The average

mean rating of 3.47 indicates that senior high school students of Cuyapo
9

National High School shows effectiveness of modular learning at average

frequency. This means that they show less effectiveness of modular learning as

students learn more using modular learning. Through sometimes lack of

knowledge, they just copy the answer to the answer to the classmates so there is

no knowledge that other children get. It is also said that the modular learning has

been really effective especially in this time of pandemic to continue the learning

of students.
