Speaking Section

For this section you are going to work in pairs and record a two-minute video.

Instructions: This oral section is a pair work activity. (Maximum score: 20 points)

 Get in pairs and write a script for your presentation.


 Rehearse your presentation and videotape it.
 Upload a public or unlisted video on YouTube and send the link.
 The video link should be uploaded on blackboard by Sunday 29th May at 23:59.
 Both of you have to submit your video/link individually.
 Remember to talk, not to read during the video. Your faces must be seen on
the screen.

OPTION 1: Going on holiday in Peru


Role play an interview, talking about the most popular cities in your country to go on
holiday. (Best/ worst cities to go, travel essentials, items you will need to take, cheap/
expensive holidays, etc.)

 Where is the best place to be for the holidays?


 Do you think holidays are important? Why?
 What kinds of things do you like to do on the holidays?
 What things you need to take?

OPTION 2: Peruvian Culture (way of life, common beliefs, costumes, artistic


expressions, music traditions, people, manners, etc.)
Ask each other about your culture. Use these questions:

 What makes our culture special?


 What the way of life is like?
 What we eat or drink on our daily basis?
 What about our beliefs?

Choose ONE topic only. Remember to use appropriate vocabulary and grammatical


forms related to the topic.
