ABSTRACT

Samgyeopsal, commonly known as grilled pork belly or samgyeop-sal-gui, is a gui (grilled dish)
in Korean cuisine. As samgyeopsal became popular in the Philippines, many restaurants opened
and offered this Korean dish, the Romantic Baboy. The basis for measuring the effectiveness of
Romantic Baboy’s restaurant attributes is the service quality dimension/DINESERV (Reliability,
Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy, Responsiveness, and Price fairness) and under these are the
customer expectation and perceptions. The goal of this study was to describe and determine the
services provided by Romantic Baboy restaurant and how they influenced consumer satisfaction.
The study also determines in what aspect were the consumers satisfied and dissatisfied regarding
their samgyupsal experience and how to improve those gaps. The study uses a descriptive survey
method since its aim is to analyze the effectiveness of the attributes of Romantic Baboy
Restaurant and to collect data on customers’ opinions on what’s their experience of eating at a
Korean Restaurant. Also, this study used an adapted survey questionnaire to gather data from 30
respondents using non-probability sampling. The weighted mean is used to analyze the data
gathered. Most of the customers revealed that they are satisfied with the services that Romantic
Baboy Restaurant offers. In summary, this reveals that the respondents assessed the restaurant’s
attributes of the Romantic Baboy as excellent.
