A. GREETINGS
When we meet someone and want to talk, we don't immediately talk about the subject. We will greet
them first to show politeness and friendliness. The greeting is usually followed by a small talk to lighten
the mood. Only then can we discuss the subject. People who know each other and see each other every day
do not shake hands. However, for those who know each other, but haven't seen each other for a long time,
greetings become enthusiastic and sometimes accompanied by gestures, such as shaking hands between
men and men, hugging between men and women, or kissing the cheeks between women and woman.
Basically, greetings are divided into two different levels, namely formal (formal) and informal
(informal). We must be able to place the greeting appropriately according to the time and the person we
are talking to.
