Philippines 20 Years from Now

What the Philippines would look like 20 years from now? I have always thought about
this before I did this journal. Will there be a flying car in that time? Can we finally travel from
planet to planet? Will there be finally a cure for cancer? We do not really know. I envisioned the
Philippines to have the economic and military power of the United States, Singapore's beautiful
streets and disciplined citizens, Japan's modernity, and a strong sense of unity. I have always
dreamed that this country is like them.

I see myself walking in a street full of electric cars, tall buildings, and lots of trees. I
envision that the Philippines will walk in a greener path of modernity. Technology advancement
is rapidly rising. Many ideas in creating a smart community is flanking everywhere. And I see
the Philippines will take that as an opportunity to support young entrepreneurs as they will be
leading the economic growth of the country 10 to 20 years from now. Technology is the biggest
leap in humanity, and it will be the greatest leap in the Philippines too. Seeing new technologies
being developed here will be the best thing I can imagine.

Politics will be much more in control and disciplined, I envision that the country will be
handled by honest politicians and true to their words on helping the citizens in improving their
lives. And govern the country to its success. Now, I admired the government's resilience, even
with the pandemic, they continue to improve the lives of its citizens, continues to build projects
that will benefit the people in the future.

Now, the economy has been greatly affected by the pandemic, it is weighing down our
poverty reduction plan, which may have improved our economic status, and helped thousands
of Filipino families living in the lower strata of our society. It is estimated that this pandemic will
last for four years, and that is a major threat to our country, particularly to us. But I believe that
our country will rise again after this pandemic.
