Watertown High School Class of 2022 Class Leaders

The valedictorian of Watertown High School’s Class of 2022 is Kiara Weber, daughter of Gary
Weber and Sharon Addison. Throughout high school, Kiara has excelled academically in AP
Biology as well as AP US History while also successfully completing many college courses such as
Spanish 4, Calculus, Statistics, English 101 and 102, and Medical Terminology. In addition to
attending school at WHS, Kiara was also a part of the New Vision Health Program through
BOCES where she was inducted as a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Kiara has
also had the privilege of being named a WWNY 7-News Academic All-Star, as well as serving as
an honorary representative of the WHS student body in the Noontime Rotary Club. She is Vice
President of the WHS Chapter of the National Honor Society and a current member of the
Audio-Visual Club. In areas other than academics, Kiara participated on both the Varsity Girls
Tennis and Volleyball teams. Kiara has also devoted her time to many service projects in the
community whether it be at Samaritan Medical or the Jefferson County SPCA.
Kiara would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for creating memories at Watertown High School that she will
forever cherish, all while pushing her to be the best version of herself.
In the fall, Kiara will attend the University at Buffalo alongside Ella Arnott where she plans to major
in Speech Communications and Disorders. Kiara’s overall grade point average is 98.987.

The salutatorian of Watertown High School’s Class of 2022 is Ella Arnott, daughter of James and
LoriAnn Arnott. Throughout her high school career, Ella has excelled in various AP and college
courses, including AP Biology and US History, Calculus, English 101 and 102, Statistics, and French
4. In addition to her academic studies, Ella was an honorary representative of the high school
student body in the Rotary Club, a member of the National Honor Society, and an active member
of the Audio-Visual Club. During her senior year, Ella also managed the Varsity girls’ soccer and
volleyball teams. Outside of school, Ella served as Secretary of the Youth Philanthropy Council
where she participated in numerous community service projects. Ella also dedicated many hours
to Samaritan Hospital as a volunteer and as a current employee.
Ella would like to thank her family, friends, teachers, and peers for constantly supporting her
throughout all of her endeavors and pushing her to be the best student and community member
she could be.
This upcoming fall Ella will be attending University at Buffalo alongside Kiara Weber where she plans to earn her bachelor’s
degree in nursing. Ella’s overall GPA was 98.986.

The Watertown High School Class of 2022 Outstanding Vocational Student is Garrett Hudon.
Throughout his Watertown High School years, Garrett has excelled in academics, but he also
decided to follow a passion of mastering a trade by entering BOCES in his junior year. He has
completed his two-year BOCES Carpentry program. Garrett is a member of the National Honor
Society maintaining a 90 or above average each quarter and was recently inducted into the
National Technical Honor Society for BOCES with a 94 overall average. Prior to BOCES, Garrett
completed the advanced course of Trigonometry and Chemistry his sophomore year at WHS.
Garrett has had the opportunity to apply his skills in carpentry in real world situations beginning to
earn some income and continuing his learning experience.
Garrett has been active in sports as well, including the IHC Varsity Hockey team for four years, fulfilling the role as Captain
his senior year. Garrett also played JV Lacrosse for two years and varsity baseball his senior year. He enjoys being a mentor
for younger players. Garrett will be graduating this June with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Following graduation, he will
begin his career in the workforce with Mike Mason, Custom Builders.
