ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022

The administrators, teachers and parents of Bethel Academy set forth this formal agreement that will regulate the code of
conduct and behaviour of every enrolled pupil/student of this institution. The following statements are binding to all the
parties concerned:

ATTIRE, HAIRCUT, AND HYGIENE

1. Students must wear proper or decent clothes during online classes. Boys shall wear polo shirts or T-shirts with
sleeves in any color with minimum prints, shorts or pants and any footwear that they desire for comfort and ease.
Girls, on the other hand, shall only be allowed to wear blouses and skirts, T-shirts with sleeves in any color with
minimum prints, pants, dress, and any foot wear that they desire for comfort and ease. Returnees or old students
can still wear their existing PE uniforms and Bethel shirts.
Crop tops and sleeveless are discouraged and will only be allowed during e-classroom activities like role playing,
talent shows, or if required by their teachers.

2. Students must follow the prescribed haircut (for boys) and hair styling (for girls).
a. Every student /pupil is required to always maintain proper haircut for decent looks.
b. Bangs should be in an eyebrow level for both boys and girls.
c. Short or long undercuts with or without slit designs are not allowed (boys and girls).
(see DepEd Order No. 88s. 2010 Sec. 157.2)

3. Boys are not allowed to wear ear piercing while girls are discouraged to wear multiple ear piercing during online
classes. Student’s attire, physical appearance, and proper school decorum should reflect respect for school as an
institution for learning.

4. Students/Pupils must observe proper hygiene such as taking a bath regularly, washing of hands before and after
using their gadgets or computers.

5. Students/Pupils are encouraged to take their meals before attending online classes to avoid tardiness.

6. Students/ Pupils must maintain a safe distance to avoid UV rays and are encouraged to wear protective gears to
protect their eyes.

TARDINESS, ABSENCES, AND PARTICIPATION TO THE ONLINE ACTIVITIES

1. Absences. Students must understand that prolonged unexcused absences of more than twenty percent (20%) of the
prescribed number of school days during the school year will incur a failing grade. He or she will only be excused if
his or her parents will be able to submit a valid excuse letter via email to his or her class adviser. Excuse letters in
emails must be submitted prior or a day after the absence has been incurred. (see Section 133 of DepEd Order
No. 88 s. 2018.)

2. Attendance and Punctuality. Regularity of attendance and punctuality are required in all online classes. Students
will be allotted five minutes to join their online class prior to the class schedule (ex. 8:00 a.m. -8:05 a.m.). A
pupil/student who has been absent or has cut classes is required to present a letter of explanation from his/her
parents or guardian through email.

3. Habitual tardiness especially during the first period of the morning or afternoon class shall not be allowed. Subject
teachers concerned shall call and notify the parents for warning. Please be reminded that three (3) consecutive
tardiness is equal to one (1) absent.

4. Participation to Online Activities. Daily devotion is still conducted online as well as chapel services. Failure to
attend such activities will automatically give the pupil/student a record of internal truancy (cutting classes) or will be
marked absent. Please be reminded that percentage of attendance will be reflected in their conduct grades.
5. Participation to Online School Programs. Following the recommended DepEd calendar of activities for the whole
academic year, programs such as Buwan ng Wika, History Month, Math and Science Month, etc. shall still be
conducted online. Failure to attend such activities will automatically give the pupil/student a record of internal
truancy (cutting classes) or will be marked absent.
ATTITUDE and BEHAVIOR IN THE ONLINE CLASS

1. Students must do their best to promote and preserve good conduct during online classes. They must avoid
impoliteness, disrespect and obscene language during class hours.

2. Students must not engage in any kind of discrimination towards their classmate’s physical appearance or
weaknesses that would lead to any disturbance or commotion during online class.

3. Students must possess and execute good Christian values at all times.

4. Students must not engage in dishonesty. Parents or guardian will be invited for a Parent-Teacher Conference in
cases of willful dishonesty.

5. Students must respect another student’s opinion or stand. (DepEd Order No.40, S.2012, Sec.9 C)

CYBERBULLYING (R.A. No. 10627/DEPED OR. NO .40 S. 2012)

1. Students must not commit any “acts of cruelty” using the internet or any social media, electronic gadget or
technology that will lead to someone’s physical and emotional harm.

2. Students must not post or send offensive photos of others with the intention to humiliate or embarrass their
classmates or teachers.

3. Hacking or utilizing someone’s account is punishable to the school rules.

4. Students must avoid sending threats, posting harmful, untrue or cruel statements about a person.

6. Students are encouraged to participate during their online class and must not use it as an opportunity to talk about
someone behind their back.

6. Students are encouraged to use the online platform as a place of learning and growth.

STIPULATED RETRIBUTIONS AS PER SCHOOL RULES

 First Offense – Verbal warning


Three consecutive warnings before the second offense

 Second Offense – Parent-Teacher Conference


The pupil/student will be given an In-School Suspension Activities (will still attend the
online class but will be given a different task for a day or two).

 Third Offense – Parent-Teacher Conference


The pupil/student will be given an Out-School Suspension Activities (will not be allowed
to log-in classes for three (3) days or more, depending on the gravity of his/her offense).
