Forming stage includes assessing team members' competencies, identifying team

competencies, and providing the necessary support for people to successfully form their

relationships with the team. It is important to evaluate the need for teamwork by considering

the team's size, composition, and composition, as well as how many members are needed.

This phase includes creating effective communication strategies and establishing effective

communication systems for team members to interact with one another. At this phase, the

team engages in effective problem solving and problem-solving techniques in order to

identify a problem or a problem area that needs further effort to address. At this time, team

members also need to develop more effective communication methods and techniques for

listening to one another. At the conclusion of this phase, team members have identified how

they can improve their communication skills by taking steps to learn to: Be more aware of

one another's style of communication Use effective listening strategies, Use constructive

engagement to enhance one another's effectiveness.

Identifying the team's specific mission, goals, objectives, and methods of achieving those

goals. Identifying the specific resources on which the team must operate to achieve its

mission, goals, and objectives, and identifying how the team will be operating to accomplish

those goals Identifying the team's support staff and any external stakeholders the team may

have a role in coordinating and providing leadership Support from management and team

members is key to success on the team, especially for successful implementation of the

organizational strategy. The second step, a key element of the process, is to ensure the correct

communication about the overall strategy to the whole organization and to key

stakeholders. Some other opportunities are: Exploring team concepts, Understand the nature

and purpose of the team's organizational structure and mission. Develop new ways of

thinking and designing team competencies and capabilities. The ability to communicate

clearly, in a non-threatening way. The ability to create shared interests, values, and goals that
do not conflict with those of others. The ability to engage constructively in team discussions,

even when others feel uncomfortable and may not like the person talking.
