PERKARA : METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF HIGH PERFORMANCE SWELLABLE

WATERSTOP FOR LIFT PIT WALL AND JOINT.

FOSROC SUPERCAST SW 20

1. FOSROC SUPERCAST SW 20 should be used to prevent the passage of water through non-movement joints in both
new in-situ-concrete and between new and existing concrete. Supercast SW20 increases in volume in the range of up
to 300% and gives a resistance of hydraulic heads of up 60 metres.

2. Therefore, Supercast SW20 is ideally to act as waterstop in construction joints between completedPilecap and newly
in-situ concrete of lift Pit RC wall.

3. Upon complete of wall's rebar installation, and prior to formwork installation and concrete casting, Supercast SW20 is
installed directly onto the middle of Lift Pit Wall concrete surface. This will ensure a minimum of 80mm cover of
concrete is present to accommodate pressure developed during the swelling process.

4. Then, in-situ casting of Lift Pit RC wall concrete is carry out. And now the Suercast SW20 is secured in the middle of
Lift Pit RC wall, perfectly act as water stop when lift pit wall is wetted by ground water (if any).
