AUTO CAD COMMANDS

1: simple line (l):


This command is used draw a unidirectional line.
This line is not closed.

2: Pline (pl):
This command is used to draw a closed figure.

3: EXTRUDE
This command is used to solidify the object.
Method:
1. Select the extrude icon
2. Select the object
3. Press the enter
4. Object will be extruded
5. We can also enter height

4: 3D-ORBIT
This command is used to rotate the object.
1. Select the orbit icon
2. And move the object

5: UNION
This command is used to join one object with another object.
1. Select the union icon
2. Select the 1st object then 2nd
3. Press the enter
4. Objects will be in union
5. We can select only two objects at a time
6: SUBTRACT
This command is used to cut(subtract, reduce) some of
its part from the the object.
1. Select the subtract icon
2. 1st select that object from which u want the subtraction
3. Then select the 2nd object which is being subtract
4. Then press enter

7: COPY
This command is used to copy the same object that you want to
draw.
1. Write the “copy” in command box
2. Select the object which u want to copy
3. Press enter
4. Select the axis or edge for copying
5. Press enter and move the mouse pointer in that direction in which
we want to copy.

8: CIRCLE
This command is used to draw a circle by giving the
specific radius.
1. Write “c” in command box
2. Press enter
3. Enter the radius u want
4. Press enter

9: ARC
This command is used to draw an arc of radius “r”. it is used
when we are using the p-line. If we want to make it straight line again
then press “l” again.
10: LOFT
This command is used to join the only two circles.
1. Draw the 1st circle of your desired radius, by entering the 0,0,0
coordinate
2. Draw the 2nd circle of your desired radius, by entering the 0,0,x
coordinate, where “x” is your desired height in z-axis
3. Select loft icon
4. Select both the circles
5. Press enter
6. A label will appear in which we can select the shape like ruled or
other forms.
Press ok.

11: FILLET
Fillet command is used to round the edges of any object
1. Write the “fillet” in command box
2. Select an edge of your choice
3. Press enter
4. Enter the fillet radius
5. Press enter 2 times

12. REVOLVE

1. In the figure below the right side is the initial side for
revolve
2. 1st write the “revolve” in command box
3. Select the object
4. Select the axis for revolution ,as shown in figure A and B
are the axis of revolution for the right angled triangle to
make it a cone shape
5. Press enter 2 times
