Dear Ma’am;

In pursuance to Republic Act Republic Act No. 10176 also known as “An Act Reviving the
Observance of Arbor Day by Authorizing the Local Government Units the Responsibilities
for Celebrating the Day for Tree Planting as an Annual Event”, DILG Memorandum
Circular No. 2016-133, dated September 28, 2016, otherwise known as “Conduct of Tree
Planting at the Barangay Level” and , Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of
Executive Order No. 193, Series of 2015otherwise known as the “National Greening
Program (NGP)”, which mandates to conduct environmental protection and activities.

On the other hand, the Sangguniang Barangay of Gubatan, Maco, Davao de Oro
approved a Barangay Ordinance # 30 Series of 2020 otherwise known as “ AN
ORDINANCE DECLARING THE 16th DAY OF JULY OF EVERY YEAR AS
ARBOR DAY IN BARANGAY GUBATAN MACO DAVAO DE ORO AND
PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFORE”, a policy of the Barangay to protect and
advance the right of the people to a balanced and healthful ecology in accord with the
rhythm and harmony of nature.

In view of this matter, we would like to request from your office ONE THOUSAND
(1000) VARIOUS TREE SEEDLINGS (MAHOGANY, NARRA ETC.) to be used for our
ARBOR DAY on JULY 16, 2021, simultaneous tree planting of seven (7) Puroks and
other stakeholders in the Barangay.

We are believing that this request be given a positive response. Thank you very much
