1.

What talents and skills do you have that can be shared or used when you become a full -
fledge teacher?

*I believe that I have the passion for teaching since I choose this course and with that, I
also know that I have the patience in handling different students. Moreover, I am also the
type of person who is able to consider in any situation or in every aspect that my
students need.
2. Think of a teacher whom you consider talented and skillful in his/her teaching. How his/
her talents do benefited his/her teaching?

*Many students can benefit if a teacher has the talent and skill in teaching because if the
teacher doesn't have both the talent and skill, she could not be able to portray his/her
lessons well.

3. What other needs of teachers can you identify?

*In my own opinion, I think teacher also needs a time to prepare themselves specifically
in starting the classes every morning. For the Philippines, they usually start the classes
at 7 am until 5 pm, then how about those teachers who has kids and need to prepare a
breakfast for the family, who needs to accompany their child in going to school, who
needs to prepare for their uniform as well as preparing themselves also.

4. As future teachers, what do you think is the best way that the government can do to
meet the needs of the teachers?

*In my own perspective, what government can do to satisfy the needs of a teacher is to
increase their salary. We all know how stressful and how it requires strength to be a role
model to your students that is why in return, teachers should be paid well.

5. How do we encourage teachers to become human rights advocates in their community

too?

*For me, I will do what is right for everybody and that includes considering the opinion of
other people. As a human right advocate to your community, you know how to act
professionally, knows also how to balance in every situation and can be able to help in
what the community needs.

6. What are the things that should be improved in the professional life of teachers?

*Some teachers merely assign exercises or deliver a quick quiz without even addressing
it. We learn in different ways that is why teachers should recognize their pupils' needs
and provide them with what they require, or offer them additional time.

7. How can we engage teachers to be good community leaders?

*By letting them participate or lead in every event in the community like for example,
coastal cleaning in a specific location, tree planting and feeding program.
8. What are the problems and issues related to teacher’s character behavior that you are
aware of?

*For what I’ve observed, the main problem of a teacher’s character is that how they treat
their students if they did something wrong. Some may walk out immediately and some
may cry in front of their students. As a professional teacher, you know what is right and
wrong and you should know how to control your emotions especially when you’re
handling your students.

9. How can we help develop expert teachers?

*Expert teachers exhibit all of these characteristics and, according to the document, are
experienced and successful in the classroom, as well as having established solutions for
common classroom problems. To teach effectively, the instructor must have a solid
understanding of the subject matter. When students are in control of their own learning,
they are better able to set goals for themselves and take pride in the final product.
10. What are the factors that have contributed to the mediocrity of the teaching profession in
the Philippines?

*The prevalence of mediocrity, as well as the failure to educate students from a variety
of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, are all contributing factors. Workers that are
uncaring and mediocre, and who may not have access to a world-class program. Low
academic standards, particularly for students from low-income families and minorities.
