A pair of swans were caring for their egg, which would later hatch Grey, the cygnet.

However, the pair did not want the hassle of raising their cygnet, and instead wanted to
offer their egg to the care of Mother Duck who was delighted to receive Grey.

After he
hatched, Mother Duck treated Grey coldly instead of with love and care like she was
supposed to. One day, many ducklings were playing in the river and having a good time.

. This
made Grey cry horribly and ran away, never to be seen again.
Grey found himself alone in the middle of the woods when he found himself face to face
with a human

Confused at first, Grey was

shocked to know that he was meant to be food for the man’s pet snake named Mr.
Snake. However, as Mr. Snake approached him, Grey would soon beg for Mr. Snake to
devour him

. Mr. Snake took pity upon the cygnet and decided to let
him go, then telling him that no matter how hard life is, there will almost always be a
bright side to look upon with enough patience.

. The pair of swans, perplexed at first, looked at the

cygnet with confused stares. After the cygnet addressed himself as Grey, the pair of
the swans realized that he was indeed their child and were shocked to see his appearance.

A few more days of traveling passed as the cygnet found himself meeting an old stork.
Grey begged to be cared for as he was already weak from all the rejection he has faced
in his lifetime

Given the old stork’s blessings, Grey sought out to seek his
parents at the very same lake where he was rejected. He found his parents, sitting by
the lake, and as they saw his majestic figure and beautiful feathers touch the sky

P
Mother
Duck was excited to receive a beautiful cygnet to hatch out from the egg which was why
she enthusiastically accepted the swans’ request.
However, when Grey hatched, Mother Duck was irked to see that the cygnet was born
ugly, skinny and grey in color instead of cute and white like his parents.

Knowing this, Grey decided to join them, but was quickly denied to join the fun because
they saw him as different from them, they saw him as ugly and cast him aside

. Under assumption that the human was friendly, Grey quickly approached
the tall figure, but was then caught swiftly by the man who brought him back to his
home. The man then proceeded to put Grey in a glass tank.

. Mr. Snake was confused because usually, his victims would beg not to be
eaten, while Grey was doing the exact opposite. Mr. Snake asked Grey for an answer,
and Grey told the story of his childhood, from the moment he hatched until now, every
bit of rejection that he has felt

After three or so days of traveling far and wide in search of his parents, Grey found
himself facing two swans in the middle of a vast lake. He went to them both to ask
whether they were his parents

Grey wanted a chance to be with his parents to grow up, but he was denied the chance
as both the swans rejected his request. They swiftly left him alone, leaving the poor
cygnet stunned and dismayed.

. The stork took pity on Grey and decided to take him into his care,
nurturing him with love until he was a fully grown adult swan. Grey wanted to finally
meet his parents again, an idea that the stork opposed but was then given reassurance
by Grey that he will return.

, they
immediately accepted Grey after realizing his amazing transformation and after facing a
life of rejection, Grey was finally happy to know that his parents had accepted him.
