Lesson 1 – Organization
What I Can Do
Title: “This too, shall pass: My life as a childhood to the present”
DATE EVENT
OCTOBER 03, 2005 The day when I was born in Cebu City. This may not be related to this
event, but I chose to include this because it’s the day that I was born.
JUNE 2009 This is the time when I started going to school, I was kindergarten on this
date. I remember that I attended school in Cebu City. I start exploring my
childhood here with my friends, cousins, and siblings.
JUNE 2010-2016 The years 2010-2016, are the time when my elementary school life
begun in Cebu. These years also were the time where I am still exploring
my childhood. I enjoyed playing outside, playing toys, playing in the
playground after school with my closest friends.
2017-2021 These years were my junior high school life begun. This is the time where
everything seems to be unstable. I studied Grade 7 in Cebu and after a few
months I transferred here in Leyte. Its actually sad that I moved to another
place and left my closest friends in Cebu. But as time goes by, I slowly
adjusted here in Leyte and made a few friends with my classmates in my
new school. It’s quite hard to make new friends, because I’m honestly an
introverted person. In year 2019, where my puberty begun, i gradually
changed from what I have been before when I was a child. There are many
challenges and problems I encountered not just in school but in family. I
learned a lot of things in these years of my life. I gain some awareness and
knowledge about everything in this world.
2021-PRESENT In these years, were my senior high school life begun. I seriously didn’t
spend much of my time as a teenager in these years because of the
pandemic. In school, it’s actually hard for me to come up with the kind of
learning we had. Without an actual face-to-face learning set up, it’s been
really difficult to catch up with the lessons since it’s mostly about self-
learning. This years are the time where everything has been falling apart
for me since this is when the pandemic started. Everything has been a
roller coaster of emotions. There is literally 2 years apart that I will take a
step to a young adulthood and will say goodbye to my childhood and
teenage life. A year plus apart also that I will step up to college. It seems to
be interesting that I would face new challenges, learn a lot in life and get to
be mature; and on the other hand it made me overwhelmed about those
will happen. I just wish that those normal life we had before this pandemic
will go back. Because in those normal life, I can spend time as much as I
want for the remaining years of my teenage life.

Happiness

Happiness is somewhat characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and

fulfilment of a certain thing or person. Happiness differs from every individual. Every
individual has different sources of their happiness, it could be their family, friends, money
or so whatever. Also, every individual has different perceptions and conceptions of being
happy. That’s what happiness could occur in everyone of us. We choose to be happy, and we
decide to be happy. Whatever reasons of our happiness, we should go for it. Happiness
brings color and gives meaning to our life. In fact, happiness could be everywhere. Even if
you decide and choose it, it will always come to our life, but still not always. We all know
life is like a roller coaster of emotions. We feel happiness in one time, then the other day
could be sadness. But after all, happiness helps us in a good way. If we feel happiness, we
feel good vibes. We feel good vibes, there’s positivity in our life. Altogether, we must choose
to be happy. Despite of hardships in life, we must put a smile on our face and we will feel
good on what you do, and will do.

There’s none actually, but I could express my thoughts about it. It honestly is a proper
article to read, every word I read is formal, but something I could suggest is the
briefing of the ideas and facts or concise to be short.

Why do you want to pursue your desired career?

We have a variety of careers to choose from. But not every career is right for us. If we
choose the wrong career, we will choose the wrong job. This means we will be less
motivated to go to work. We will also not be engaged at work. If we choose the right career,
life will be better. We will land your dream job. Either, we will meet your financial needs.
We will be motivated to do our job even on a Monday morning. So, we have many reasons
to pursue your dream career.
There are many reasons to pursue desired career. First, we will be motivated to
remain committed. Second, we will be able to showcase what our capabilities are. It will
enable us to show out talents, passion, and abilities on that desired career. We are
motivated enough to remain engaged. We can push ourselves to achieve the best. In
addition, we utilize our own potential. When in our dream career, we get the opportunity to
utilize our strengths. Moreover, we build our confidence. When we are sure of your right
career path, our confidence grows.
If there is one way we can get to what career is the right for us, it would be to test
different career paths, even if we don’t think we would enjoy them. We never know until
we try. For example, if we get a part-time job at an ad agency and we don’t like it, that’s fine,
move on. While college is a must, in my mind, it’s equally important to learn in the real
world. Even with all the schooling and degrees, we won’t know if your chosen field is our
true passion until we’re actually doing it on a day-to-day basis. In short, If we get enough
lucky, we will be able to successfully pursue the job we have always dreamed of. Just show
on what we’re capable of and we will soon discover what career suits to you.

Lesson 4 – Mechanics
What I Have Learned
“Let grammar, punctuation, and spelling into your life! Even the most energetic and
wonderful mess has to be turned into sentences.”
Grammar, punctuation, and spelling are a big part of our life. Every step we take, every
event we in, every problem we encounter, it has to be turned into sentences. Grammar,
punctuation, and spelling are essentials for every individual or group of people to
communicate properly, to understand each other’s opinions and thoughts about one
another. It take significances in our life. Without these, imagine how can we communicate,
how can we able to express our thoughts, how can we manage to understand each other,
that’s how these three are important. The ability to spell, punctuate and produce
grammatically- correct sentences, we should have knowledge and skills about these. This
will lead us to an effective communication. That’s why Grammar, punctuation, and spelling
are always on our life.

What I Can Do
Once you learn to read, you will be forever free

As what Frederick Douglas meant in this quote, reading gives you the freedom to explore
the world and bring that world into a new dimension of learning and discovery, I highly agree.
We all know reading is very important to us humans in our everyday living. In the way of
reading, we learn many things, it could be in books, newspapers, magazines, and even e-books.
We could get information of what we are reading. It could come up to our minds and lead us to
an awareness of that certain information.
Reading is very essential, as it helps us to exercise our comprehension abilities and our
analytical abilities. It fires up our imagination and stimulates the memory centers of our mind.
It helps recall information as well as stabilize your emotions. As we recall those what we read,
we learn, and that learnings would bring us to a new dimension of discovery. We easily
interested in everything just by reading.
Reading books, magazines, and even e-books would effect to enrichment of our memory.
When we read, we're engaging more than a few brain functions, such as phonemic awareness,
visual and auditory processes, comprehension, fluency, and more. Reading jolts your brain into
action, maintains concentration, and allows your mind to process the events happening before
you. These effects are mainly beneficial and positive to us because it will make us improve as a
person.
Furthermore, reading play a quintessential role in every student's life by introducing them
to a world of imagination, providing knowledge of the outside world. It will broaden our
senses, not just for ourselves but for everything. Reading provides us comfort that will relate to
our feelings, for example is Wattpad, a popular e-book in this generation.
In conclusion, reading is essential. It is part of our lives, and so it will be. It will always be
one of an essential feature of a human being. Without knowledge about reading, the world
would be an utterly unbearable place to live in, and we, as a society, would remain stagnant in
our psychological growth. We start learning through reading. We start our life through reading.
We able to improve through reading. And we will succeed on our life through reading.
