What I Can Do
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
First, most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory
illness and could recover without the need of special treatment. Older people, and those
who are having an underlying diseases or medical problems such as cardiovascular
disease, cancer, respiratory diseases, or low immunity are more likely to develop a serious
illness.
In addition, if you’re infected you can either have symptoms or so called asymptomatic, a
condition showing no symptoms. But however, both conditions can still spread the virus.
Anyone can get infected with the virus either become seriously ill or die at any age.
Finally, with this virus keeps on spreading in the world, the best way for us to prevent
and slow down the transmission is to be well informed about the disease and how the virus
spreads. Moreover, following the safety protocols given by the health authorities such as
wearing facemask and staying at home would be such a great help to avoid the spread of
this virus.
