Hello! My name is Paola, I am planning a trip to San Andres islands. I'm excited
for a few days at the beach.

Vaccination and Immunization
Visit the doctor to check my vaccines.
Plan my vaccination schedule - At least three month prior to my trip.

My checklist includes five important aspects. The first and most important.

one, it is Vaccination and immunization. In Colombia, it is required for

trips to the coast to have the yellow fever vaccine. For that reason, I must
visit the doctor to verify my registration and plan a vaccination schedule (in
case I need it) at least fifteen days before my departure.

The second point on my list is the arrival. The hotel is not near the airport, so
I need to decide to receive and greet the service. The travel agency assigns
me someone to pick me up at Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport.

They already know the day and time of arrival. Also, I need to make sure I
have the right clothes for San Andres. San Andres is an island, so the clime
is warm and most importantly, the ocean. Therefore, I need to buy several
shirts and shorts for the hot weather. There are also many insects. I need an
insect repellent to always carry with me.

The fourth point on my list is money. The official currency is the peso but
they also receive dollars. Although there are several ATMs on the island,
I need to make sure I have enough cash with me in case I do not find one.
Finally, there is one important thing to consider. That is the contact with
animals during the trip. I can’t mistreat the animals of the place.
