Recruitment practices for radio jobs

When looking for the ideal person to recruit you have to be sure to have the perfect candidate in
mind, i.e. what sort of qualities are you looking for? What position would they have in your radio
station?

A way to find people to recruit is by creating online job advertisements, job hunting websites such
as Indeed, Monster and LinkedIn are often a good start when it comes to getting your job advert
out there.

You need to keep an open mind when it comes to recruiting people via employment websites.

Another way is to approach media, radio and journalism schools/programmes.

This could be the perfect opportunity to find young people who are comfortable with a mic and
confident or ease up when it comes to entertaining content. It is also beneficial to search for young
people since they are always up to date with news, new trends and relevant information.

Another way is to make an appeal on social media. Create posts and adverts, this creates a high
chance of them being shared multiple times.
