Text This study is about the Quality-of-Life in online learning using a descriptive quantitative
research design. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the overall QOL, to determine
reasons of dissatisfaction and to identify what variables affects satisfaction among nursing
students engaged in online learning from selected universities in Metro Manila.

The researcher gathered one hundred nursing students from first to fourth-year level as
respondents. The statistical tool used in the analysis of data were frequency and percentage
distribution, T-test and ANOVA to determine the significant difference between the
demographic profile and the QOL of the nursing students in online learning.

The researcher concluded that the majority of the respondents are females (80%) between the
ages of 18-22 (93%) and are in their third-year academic level (35%). After using a purposive
sampling to gather equal data among the respondents, it is suggested that most the
respondents have higher level of QOL (3.56) in social domain. In contrast, lower level of
QOL has been seen in the psychological domain (2.98). The respondents’ demographic
profile had significant difference with their QOL therefore there is a little variation between
the nursing students’ experiences across all year levels as well as male participants have
almost the same experiences with female participants.

Key words: descriptive quantitative research design, quality-of-life, online learning
