New Measures Regarding Rise in COVID-19

Teachers recommend firmer measures regarding masks in B.C schools.
This follows the new measures implemented that seem to have shown less Impact.
On Monday B.C.’s provincial health officer gave the new measures.
As you can relate this comes after the recent rise in different variants and cases of COVID-
19.
The public health guidance had earlier stated on the matter saying though it’s not a
requirement, optional masks for Grade 4 to 12 students is ok.
The President of B.C teacher’s federation Teri Mooring, came out lamenting on the confusion
brought by the new measures.
Teri Mooring is in support of the new measures, but insists they should be a concrete
prerequisite.
Additionally, she recommends need for enhanced ventilation systems in schools.
John Horgan B.C.’s Premier also shows no regret for his earlier speech as he points a finger
to the younger generation for the rise in COVID-19 cases.
Horgan laments those of you aged between 20 to 39 years are not concerned about the risk
posed by COVID-19.
He is grateful he eventually captured your attention though some seem upset.
On a speech given on Tuesday, Horgan insists the younger population is endangering the
lives of the aged.
This is a result of the fact the younger generation are risking their lives to provide essential
services, B.C reveals a surge in COVID-19 cases within this age group.
Horgan urges the middle age to be aware of the danger they pose, saying your parents and
grandparents need to be safeguarded. “I wish to protect all the British Columbians” he
concluded.
