This rural Elven manor house was known as Holston Hall—famed

for extravagant dinner parties until it suddenly fell silent. Surely this
ruined manor is an excellent spot for Cryptdiggers to explore but,
strangely, none who venture within return.

 Area Descriptions
Manor: Embellished friezes, portraits of
natural vistas.. Cavernous and echoing.
Heavy brocade curtains. layered with
dust. Occasional faint blood splatter on
walls.
Servants Quarters: Neat. sterile, cold.
Lingering odour of roasting food.
Gardens: Well maintained hedgerows.
Pleasant floral scent. Burbling fountains.
Courtyard Fountain: Crystal water still
flows from this finely crafted Maignish
marble fountain.
Iceroom: A row of boots line the hallway
before a cold iron door. The room behind
is frozen by a large block of everlasting ice.
Three salted human corpses are
suspended from meathooks—clothes and
nicknacks piled in the corner.

Dining Room: Spacious, arranged to seat Kitchen: Clean, but running low on many
Treasure twelve, the site of many feasts. A glass supplies.

Lord Holston / The Hearteater
Blood Elf and previous lord of these
lands. Formerly a well cultured,
enthusiastic patron of art, architecture
and music. His savage nature has taken
over, leaving him a barely sentient,
hollow Blood Elf, mimicking his
previous schedule by habit. Until
enraged, he maintains dinner etiquette,
passing corpses to reluctant servants for
preparation. His stomach rules him, and
he targets the nicest smelling party
member. When slain, he reanimates from
one of his marble statues in 1 hour.

Lifedrinker, Bloodsense, Bloodthirsty,
Knife In The Shadows
Falgallitrix
A fae spirit bound in the shape of a
hawk—familiar of the wizard Quoton,
who died investigating the Manor.
Capable of speech, they are a prankster
with a good heart and spend most of
their time warning away passing
travelers, as they cannot return to normal
life until their master is buried properly.
They explain their predicament and aid
competent Cryptdiggers.

Servants (Mildred and Walter)
Mildred and Walter keep the house in
reasonable repair. Both are quite mad.
Mildred cooks and prepares meals
(mostly human flesh) for their master.
She colourfully maintains the
(delusional) facade that what she
prepares comes from animals. She feeds
"weary travellers" or requests they go
hunting for deer or rabbit. Walter
attends to the master's wardrobe and
schedule. He is confused by the absence
of guests, assuming Crpytdiggers are
invited guests. He will bring them to
Lord Holston for introductions. Neither
are a real threat in combat. A third
servant, Henry was killed by Holston
after an escape attempt.

Biting Books
They appear to be mundane books
bound with thick buckled leather bands.
When opened, attempts to “eat” the
closest appendage. It’s toothless but the
grip still bruises. When ambushing, their
first attack has the Upper Hand. They
use their covers to catapult themselves
about.
