Philosophical Statement
As a teacher, t is my ultimate desire to produce learners who are capable to live in productively and
meaningfully.
Everything happens for a purpose, that becoming a teacher even not my first choice of career but I
believe I am destined to touch the lives and inspired little ones. I want to teach my pupils to be a better
version of themselves. I want them to be equipped with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. I want
my pupils to build confidence in participating varied activities in teaching learning process. . I want them to
grow academically in a most conducive learning arena. The child learns better if they feel safe, comfortable,
belongingness in a class. They best learn in a friendly atmosphere. In this way, we can minimize behavioural
problem. However, in a class, as teachers we cannot select our pupils yearly, whether we like it or not, there
are instances that we will be having a misbehave pupils. Addressing misbehave pupils should be given
appropriate action immediately. It should be done together with the pupil, teacher and parent.
Most especially, I want to teach them to love their own uniqueness. To get know God and the very
reason of our existence is to serve and glorify him.
According to Greek philosopher Heraclitus that “change is the only constant in life.” It means that the world
is always changing, therefore I want my learners to live life productively and meaningfully and to prepare
them to be adaptable to change.. I want them to know that I am with them, the one who guides and motivates
them to experience learning to the extent
I want a democratic atmosphere in my class. I want to involve learners in formulating our classroom
rules. With my guidance, I will let them decide the best option in the rules that they are about to make.
Letting them know that these rules will the law of the class and no one will be above it.
Posting these rules will remind and guide everyone of what is expected of them. Since it is agreed by
all and clearly discussed, so they will be responsible for it. I will used intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in
order for them to continue aiming for and to work harder.
Classroom Arrangement
Misbehavior Intervention
Learners’ conflicts must be address right away to avoid major untoward incidents. In settling issues,
I will try to listen to both sides separately. I will also seek ideas from them on how to resolve their conflicts.
In other conflicts that are more serious and delicate, I willl seek advice from my superiors, especially when
calling up parents is needed.
As a teacher I should try to get to know the background of my learners by asking their former teacher
on how they behave in their class, by this I will be on guard to learners who are prone to misbehaviors and I
can plan ahead on the possible intervention that I will do .
Classroom Safety
Students need to feel safe in order to learn. They need to feel secure in order to participate. In my
class, I will encourage learners to speak and ask questions. No matter what a learner say I will make it a
habit to respond it with respect . I have to model respect in order for them to respect each other too. I will be
more appreciative to the things that they do. I will impose a No Bullying Rule in the class. I will also see to
it that learners know safety measures and health protocols.
.
Student Celebration
Learners must feel rewarded no matter what. Rewards and recognition of learners’ performance is an
important factor in motivating learners to do more and give their best. Big or small achievements should be
given importance. Quarterly recognition is done to recognize their efforts in studying lessons. Good
behavior must be given rewards, too for doing exemplary examples to their classmates.
I will not forget also to celebrate learners’ birthday even in the simplest way possible.
