(KEN AND RACHEL STAND AT FRONT OF ROOM)

Good morning everyone!

(PAN TO KIDS WAKING UP IN ROWS OF BEDS,

BIG SIGN: ORPHANAGE)

KEN:

This is my daughter, Rachel, she’s

here for bring your daughter to

work day. Rachel plays lacrosse,

she works at White Castle, and she

loves being with her family.

(HUGGING HER)

(ALL THE KIDS STARING BLANKLY)

RACHEL:

Dad, stop.

KEN:

Alright, make your beds and get

ready for breakfast.

(KEN LEAVES, SILENT ROOM WITH RACHEL AND

ALL THE KIDS)

(KIDS START TO MAKE BEDS)

KID 1:

(TO RACHEL)

Hey Rachel, is your dad nice at

home?

RACHEL:

Yeah, he’s chill. But he can be a

real jerk sometimes.

(STARES AT HER BLANKLY)

KID 2:

Hey Rachel? Do you have a big

bedroom?

It’s pretty big, yeah.

KID 2:

Do you think you could fit like a

trundle or something?

RACHEL:

Oh, I don’t know–

KID 3:

Rachel, Rachel! When you guys play

monopoly, is there an extra piece?

RACHEL:

Yeah, I guess no one really wants

the hat.

KID 1, KID 2, KID 3:

I want the hat! I’ll be the hat!

KID 4 (GIRL):

Hey Rachel, you have two brothers

right?

RACHEL:

Yeah.

KID 4:

Wouldn’t it be cool to have a

sister? You could braid her hair

Girls with her.

RACHEL:

I guess that would–

KID 5 (BOY):

If you had another brother, then

you could play a fair game of 3v3.

RACHEL:

Oh, uh–

KID 4:

Who plays 3v3!

(RACHEL WALKS INTO HER DADS OFFICE,

FOLLOWED BY A DOZEN KIDS)

KEN:

Hey guys, having fun?

RACHEL:

Yeah um, can you answer some

questions for me?

KEN:

Sure.

RACHEL:

(HOLDS LIST, READING)

closet or 4 square feet of space?

KEN:

Oh, uh

RACHEL:

Do we have an extra spot on our

AT&T Family Plan?

KEN:

RACHEL:

KEN:

Stop, Rachel, I know what they’re

doing. This happens every time

someone visits. Kids, go do some

reading. Rachel, stay here.

(KIDS LEAVE)

KEN:

Rachel, you were right, you should

leave.

RACHEL:

Rach, can you get your mom's yoga

mat from the trunk?

COMES TUMBLING OUT)

RACHEL:
