My book:
-tittle: our solar system
-My book is about the solar system and is made to
entertain the kids in a fun and easy way.

reveal unknown things in the story
-it is a normal book with hard covers and a hard spin

Original Design Specification
from Task 1
The book is to be kids friendly and
Aesthetics ergonomically suitable for kids, like the
safety, weight, easy to read and has fun
interactions. I want the book to be colourful
and eye catching to the kids. I want the book
to be easy to red and informative in an easy
way.
Cost Since I never created a book before, from
scratch, I don’t know the range of prices that
will be but if it exceeded 100 dollars then ill
excuse myself from the project.
Customer My initial age range of the customer is 7-9
years old
Based on the teacher’s options that they
Environmental told me, I’m expecting the book to be make
considerations with hardcover front cover and back cover,
the pages will be made with thicker plastic
papers. After all this the book isn’t
environmentally friendly at all.
The function of this book is to entertain kids
Function and be informative in a fun way.
The manufacturing has 2 stages, firstly, the
Manufacturing digital copy, which will be done by myself
using online software. Secondly, the boo
printing itself will be done at Officeworks.

Outline the Positive aspects of your children's story book:
Positives that ended up happening with the book that I was able to achieve the aesthetic aspects perfectly. I was

Design Specification? If so, How? If not,
what did you do differently?
I was able to follow most of what I intended, with the
colour, safety, easy to read. The only thing that I wasn’t able
to make was the suitable weight. Dues to urgent changes in
plans, the book ended up quite heavy
Like I hope the book didn’t exceed 100 dollars, it ended up
being 50 dollars.
It still didn’t change; the end product is suitable for the age
range I decided before. 
Due to the change of plans the book ended up being make
mostly of card board and recyclable materials.
 
The function didn’t change until the end product was made,
it is still entertaining and formative.
Due to changes in the plan, the first step is done according
to the plan, but the printing plan had to be changes because
Officeworks wasn’t able to offered what I need for the book,
so I had to print and make the whole book by myself from
scratch, sticking and putting together the final product.
Due to the change of the plan, the list of materials changes
into more, like card board, card board glue, cutter and key
chain rings
Until the book was made these safety measures were done
accordingly and it have been tested.
The book is made in A4 paper size
 
 also able to make the book informative and easy to be in the hand of kids. Something else was that I was able to
make the safety requirements happened really good. I was also able to fulfil some of the ergonomic
characteristics, like aesthetics and safety.

Outline the Negative aspects of you children's story book:

Negative aspects that has to do with my book was that the plan changed suddenly I had little to no time to come
up with another plan and ended up making the book made from scratch by me, so it ended up not looking
professional. The other thing that went wrong due to the change of plan, that the end weight was too heavy
compared to the original plan, so it might me a little too heavy for the kids to hold.

How can your book be improved?:

The main thing that can be improved is the professional look of the book, maybe finding another place that can
fulfil to requirements of the book, which in this case the thick papers and clean overall finish. By doing this I
hope to reduce the weight of the book, which is one of the main problems that happened with this book.
