Introduction
Walmart hourly associates can use this guide to learn how to manage their absences using the
Walmart Live Well Absence Reporting Line or Website.

You can report absences over the phone or on the website. Both options can be accessed from
anywhere, at any time.

Using the Phone Line


1. Call 1-833-WAL-WELL (1-833-925-9355)
2. Enter your Walmart Identification Number (WIN). Your WIN can be found on your paperless
pay stub.
3. Enter your Date of Birth.
4. Follow the prompts.

Using the Website


1. Go to walmartlivewell.ca
2. Enter your Walmart Identification Number (WIN).
Your WIN can be found on your paperless pay stub.
3. Enter your Last Name.
4. Enter your Date of Birth by clicking the arrow to access
the drop-down menu in the calendar.
5. Click Log In.

NOTE: DO NOT share your login information. You are


responsible for all reports made on your account.

If you have any issues logging in, email


walmartlivewellhelp@orgsoln.com or call 1-833-WAL-
WELL (1-833-925-9355). You will have 3 attempts to
validate your identity using your WIN and Date of Birth.

Navigating the Home Page


From the Home Page, you can:

1. Report an Absence – For absences 5 days and under (Not applicable for Salaried SSC and Salaried
Logistics & Fleet Associates)
2. Request a Leave of Absence – For absences greater than 5 days (Not applicable for Salaried SSC and
Salaried Logistics & Fleet Associates)
3. View Absences/Leave Requests
4. Access Helpful Resources

NOTE: You can click Home at any time to return to the main menu.

Reporting an Absence
(Not applicable for Salaried SSC and Salaried Logistics & Fleet Associates)

Use this section to report any absences that are 5 days and under.

1. Select the reason you will be absent from work:


a. Medical
b. Non-medical
c. Bereavement

NOTE:
• Reporting an absence DOES NOT guarantee it will be approved.
• You should not report any absences that are related to work related illness or injury. Please
contact your manager directly if this is the reason for your absence.

2. a. If you selected a medical reason (an illness or injury unrelated to work), indicate if the
reason is related to yourself or a dependent.

b. If you selected a non-medical reason, indicate the reason for your absence from the drop-
down list. If the reason for your leave is not listed, select Other.

NOTE: If you select Other, your manager may contact you to get more information about your
request.

c. If you selected bereavement, select bereavement again from the sub-menu.

3. Click Personal Information or Next to move to the next section.

4. Enter your home or cell phone number and email address (if available) in the event your
Manager needs to reach you.

5. Click Date(s) of Absence or Next.


6. Click Select Dates for the calendar to open. If you are going to be away for multiple days, you
can click on all the applicable dates. If you select a date and need to change it, unclick the day
to remove it from your selection. Your Expected return to work date will update automatically.
Verify for accuracy and update as needed.

7. If you are absent for a reason related to bereavement or care of a dependent, you will also be
prompted to enter information related to the relationship of the person.

NOTE: You will not see this field if it is not relevant to your absence type.

8. Click Submission or Next and review the information on the Submission screen.

9. Click Submit. If you receive an error, you can click on each of the tabs to make changes as
needed.

NOTE: All mandatory fields must be completed before submitting. You will also receive an error
if any dates of absence overlap with previously requested dates.

10. After clicking the Submit button, you will get a confirmation that your claim has been
submitted. Click OK.

11. Your manager will automatically be notified of your request and may be in contact with you
if they need additional information or supporting documents. Remember to return all calls
from Walmart while you are absent.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• You are expected to report your absence as early as possible before your shift. If you are unable to
report in a timely manner, contact your manager or report the absence using the phone line as
soon as possible.
• If you are missing a partial shift or will be late for your shift, please call your manager directly
instead of using the Walmart Live Well site.
• If the dates entered are greater than 5 days, you will need to cancel your absence report, return to
the Home page and select Request a Leave of Absence.
• Salaried SSC and Salaried Logistics & Fleet Associates can report an absence by contacting their
manager.

Requesting a Leave of Absence (Not


applicable for Salaried SSC and Salaried Logistics & Fleet Associates)
Use this section to request a leave of absence greater than 5 days (i.e. surgery,
parental leave, caring for ill family member, etc.). A leave of absence should be
requested well in advance to give your Manager time to review and decide.

1. Select the reason for the leave from the drop-down list. If the reason
for your leave is not listed, talk to your manager about your request.

2. Select the Leave of Absence Type. The list will populate based on the Leave Reason.

3. Click Personal Information or Next to move to the next section.

4. Enter your home or cell phone number and email address (if available) in the event your
manager needs to reach you.

5. Enter the Start and Expected Return to Work Date of your leave by clicking in the box and
selecting the date from the calendar. If you select a date and need to change it, click on the
box and select the correct date from the calendar.

NOTE: If you are unsure of your Expected Return Date, please select an Expected Return to Work
Date close to when you believe you will be returning and contact your manager with the Actual
Return to Work Date once known.

6. If you are requesting a leave to care for a dependent, you will be prompted to enter
relationship information, or alternatively for leaves related to the birth of a child, you will be
asked for the expected or actual birth date of the child.

NOTE: You will not see this field if it is not relevant to your leave type.

7. Click Submission or Next and review the information on the Submission screen.
8. Click Submit. If you receive an error, you can click on each of the tabs to make changes as
needed.

NOTE: All mandatory fields must be completed before submitting. You will also receive an error if
any dates of absence overlap with previously requested dates.

9. After clicking the Submit button, you will get a confirmation that your claim has been
submitted. Click OK.

10. Your manager will automatically be notified of your request. He or she may contact you for
more information prior to making their decision.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• All Leave of Absences must be requested 30 days in advance, when possible.
• Your Leave Request will be visible under the View Absences/Leave Request section and will show
as pending until your manager actions the request.
• You must contact your manager or your People Partner at least 3 weeks prior to the end of your
Leave of Absence to make arrangement for your return.
• Salaried SSC and Salaried Logistics & Fleet Associates can request a Leave of Absence by
contacting their manager.

Viewing Absences/Leave Requests


Use this section to view the history of all the absences and leaves that you have
requested.

1. You can view current requests under Today - All Claims. Open claims
cannot be modified or canceled. If you need to make a change to an
open claim, contact your Manager.

2. You can view closed requests by changing your selection to All Claims.
3. You can export a list of all the requests you have submitted by clicking Export to Excel.
