On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the COVID-19 virus was a

The term “plastic" comes from the Greek word “plastikos",(27) meaning fit for moulding. This refers to
the material's malleability, or plasticity during manufacture, which allows it to be cast, pressed, or extruded

Plastics is the term commonly used to describe a wide range of synthetic or semisynthetic materials (23)
