1. Introduction

Plastic is one of the widely used materials all over the world and it is also used as
a substitute for paper in many other places. The high proportion of plastic used at
present is because it is light in weight, durable and inexpensive material. Plastics
are used for the wide range starting from packaging, toys, food wrapping and
electronics industry. Plastic is difficult to recycle and it also involves a high
amount of money in recycling plastics and designing a machine for the same is
also difficult. By this project, we aim to reduce the cost of transportation of plastic
by shredding it into finer grains which can then be transported to recycling plants
in bulk quantities and also at a cheaper rate. A plastic shredder is a machine that
is designed and fabricated to cut larger parts into smaller particles which can then
be transported easily to the recycling plant, we can consider a shredder as an
intrinsic part of the plastic recycling system.
1.1 PROBLEM DEFINITION
1. Nowadays, pollution of environment due to plastic is increased. The plastic can
be collected, crushed and then can be melted to use to produce different
products. To crush the plastic we used shredder machine to reduce effort.
2. Because of mechanical parts like bearings, blades, motor, shaft continuous
lubrication is necessary.
3. In normal cutters plastic is not cutting properly, hence we design blades to cut
plastic in small size.

SOLUTION OF PROBLEM
 We can keep dustbin near river ,beaches and markets
 Use shredder machine
 We can keep awareness hoarding to avoid plastic

AEIOU SUMMARY

The shredders are useful machines for the volume reduction of such as reams of

paper, paper materials, bumpers, tires, refrigerators and the shredding of
different materials such as scrap iron, aluminum, copper, plastic as well as
municipal solid waste and industrial waste.
ACTIVITIES
 Shredder plastic
 Domestic waste
 CD’s electronic waste
ENVIRONMENT
 More waste of bottle
 Environment harmful
 Transport problem
 Pollution ( land, water )

OBJECTS
 Aim is to recycle the waste plastic to reduce environmental pollution
caused by plastic.
 To construct machine with minimum cost of manufacturing and it will
produce less vibrations and noise
 To study different elements of shredder machine like frame, shaft,
bearings, blade design, flywheel and motor
 To reduce solid plastic waste

AEIOU SUMMARY
2. Mind mapping

It is to present all the topics or points in the from of diagram, drawing

or any other from through this Mind mapping canvas our intension will
be clear about our topic and what we have to do . Mind mapping
canvas is easy to understanding of the domain.
3. Empathy Mapping

To get avoid of plastic bottles and cans which we spread here and their to get the
clean environment and to support
Use shredder machine because over flow of bottle
High rate of production
Easily to transport reduces sizes
