Question 5. When is the seat -belt sign will come to ON mode in the Aircraft? ( 2 Marks )
Aviation – Exam 2

Ans:- The seat-belt sign will come to on mode for the following: -

1. The seat-belt sign will stay on until the plane reaches its safe altitude until it lands safely.

2. The seat-belt sign will get on when the flight is about to land.

3. If a pilot believes that conditions are, or are likely to be, such that passenger movement poses a
threat, the fasten seat belt sign is illuminated. Exactly when those conditions are present is up to the
captain's discretion.

4. If there are chances of turbulence, then the captain may have decided to "play it safe" and left the
seatbelt sign illuminated. One other consideration is that 125 knot winds are usually associated with a
Jetstream. Clear air turbulence can happen suddenly and without warning in Jetstream.
