I want to talk to you about a moist, sponge cake with vanilla icing because it
was the best birthday gift, I had ever received.

To start off, I recall vividly that it was when my little brother reached the age
of nine, so that must have been about 4 years ago on my birthday in
November.

Anyway, this was pre-covid 19 at my three-storey home located on the

outskirts of my hometown. This event was held in our dining room, but the
intensive labor/hard work was done in our newly custom-made / renovated
kitchen.

By the way, sponge cake is made with only a few ingredients that you
probably have in your pantry. A sponge cake is a delicate, spongy cake that is
made with eggs, sugar, and flour as the main ingredients. For the icing on the
cake, she used canned French-vanilla frosting.

Finally, I had a deep appreciation (treasure/care) for this baked dessert

because my sibling created it to show her affection for me. Despite being a
newbie, her cake was a big hit with our family. Her effort will remain etched in
my memory as long as I live.
