1. A healthcare professional deals not only with his patient and his patient's family but also with
colleagues in his profession, other health care professionals, his professional organization and
society.
2. Mutual responsibility professional deals not only with his best and helping others do their best
3. Mutual support means senior members teaching junior members, healthy members assisting
impaired colleagues and repairing defects caused

by them
4. Mutual respect means listening to other's suggestions, encouraging others to play their roles
and acknowledging their contribution
5. The health care professional must work toward uplifting the standard of his profession
through continuing medical education program participation and self regulation with
correction of erring members
6. The healthcare professional as a member of society, must work towards the creation of a
safe environment, the implementation if a just health care program and the discovery of truth
through research
 PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Professional organizations are assemblages of professionals
within a particular specialization or professional field that come
together for the purpose of collaboration, networking, and
professional development or advancement.
 Types of Professional Organizations

Professional organizations are classified based on their main

function. A professional organization can be multipurpose and
could encompass all functions.

Accrediting organizations accredit curricular programs in educational institutions.

An educational institution applying for accreditation will then be visited by a
technical committee of experts from the accrediting agency to verify its
compliance to the standards of quality education.
