BERMUD

A
TRIANGL
E
All the places in the
world are not normal or safe. Some places are
mysterious and the scientists are working on it
to solve the puzzle of their peculiar properties.
They can be dangerous or safe as well, but, no
one knows! Yes, The Bermuda Triangle is one
of those places; known for its mystery and some
awkward and sudden incidents. The Bermuda
Triangle also known as the Devil’s Triangle or
Hurricane Alley is a loosely-defined region in
the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean,
where a number of aircrafts and ships are said to
have disappeared under mysterious
circumstances. Popular culture has attributed the
various disappearances to the paranormal or
activity by extraterrestrial beings. In 1964,
Vincent Gaddis wrote in the pulp magazine,
Argosy, of the boundaries of the Bermuda
Triangle. But people do not follow it. The real
length boundaries considered is – 1300000 to
3900000km square. Triangle writers have used a
number of supernatural concepts to explain the
events. One explanation pins the blame on
leftover technology from the mythical lost
continent of Atlantis. Some people believe that
there are the UFOs and aliens behind the
mystery. Some of the scientific explanations for
the mystery were:-
Human Error
Violent Weather
Gulf Stream
Methane Hydrates, etc.
The most valid reason for these incidents is
human error. Hurricanes are powerful storms
that form in tropical waters and have affected
people and property greatly. These storms have
in the past caused a number of incidents related
to the Triangle. A powerful downdraft of cold
air was suspected to be a cause of the sinking of
Pride of Baltimore on May14, 1986. There have
been many notable incidents with the Triangle.
Some of them are:-
Ellen Austin- It was going to New York in
1881 and it disappeared suddenly in the
Triangle.
USS Cyclops- This incident resulting in the
single largest loss of life in the history of the
US Navy not related to combat. It
occurred in March, 1918.
Flight 19- Flight 19 was a training flight of
five TBM Avengers torpedo bombers that
disappeared on Dec.5, 1945.
Star Tiger and Star Ariel- G-AHNP Star
Tiger disappeared on Jan.30, 1948 on a
flight to Bermuda. G-AGRE Star Ariel
disappeared on
Jan.17, 1949 on a flight to Puerto Rico.
Douglas DC-3- On Dec.28, 1948, a Douglas
DC-3 aircraft, no. NC16002, disappeared
while a flying to Miami. There was no
trace of the aircraft or of
the people inside it.

Some movies on Bermuda Triangle are: -

Triangle, Bermuda Tentacles, Lost Voyage,
Monster Island, etc. Bermuda Triangle is
still a big mystery. I hope it will be solved
soon.
