Types of Hazard:
• Flash flood
• Landslide
Characteristics:
• Flash flood was characterized by a torrent that is raging which rip through
mountain canyons, river beds, and streets after a heavy rain.
• Landslide is a sudden failure of near-vertical and vertical slopes. Its results
were loosening and free fall of rocks or block of rocks.
Intensity:
• Flash flood and landslide intensity will both depend and based on the
heaviness of rainfall.
Scope:
• The scope of flash flood would be Sitio Combentuhan, Sitio Lipatan, Sitio
Bigaa, Lucsuhin road to Barangay Biga, O. Bautista St., O. Sayo St., F.
Martinez St., national road 1, and national road.
• The scope of landslide would be Sitio Ibaba, Sitio Combentuhan, and Sitio
Landtenure.
Predictability:
• Both hazards will be able to predict by the community’s awareness of the
incoming typhoon or super typhoon.
Manageability:
• Both will also be able to manage if the community was aware of the
evacuation center near their home and by each family on the community to
have disaster plan.
