GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

FOR AL-MU’AMALAT (Journal of Islamic Economic Law)

Criteria of Article
1. The articles should be the result of empirical research and ideas or concept regarding
Islamic Economic or Islamic Law in accordance with the theme of publication of
journal.
2. The articles have not been published in any printed media, book, hand-out or seminar.
3. The title of article should be concise, simple and informative
Example:
Unregistered Marriage in Islamic Law Perspective (A critical study of Islamic Law
Compilation)
4. The article and abstract must be written in good Arabic or English.
5. The article should be written in sequence consist of title, name of author, abstract,
keywords, content and bibliography.
a. The title should be concise and to the point, no more than 12 words
b. Abstract written in English or Arabic containing a summary of the article that
describes an (1) introduction of article, (2) aim of the article, (3) method, (4)
result and (5) conclusion and not more than 150-250 words then clearly
defines the thesis and the sources quotes
c. Keywords consist of 2-6 words
Example: Keywords: KHI, Islamic Law, Unregistered Marriage, Legal Status.
d. Articles’ length is about 15-20 pages with the length of article between 6000-
10.000 words.
e. The articles should be typed in MS Word, Single space, Times New Roman (for
English) and Traditional Arabic (for Arabic), size 12pt, size of paper as A4.
f. The authors’ identities should be stated separately (name, institution and
email)

6. The articles should be submitted as e-mail attachment in Word format with notes at the
end of the file and the articles should be sent to : almuamalat@unida.gontor.ac.id.
7. Authors of article are asked to carefully check the proofs. They should keep in mind
that the aim of proofreading is to correct errors that may have occurred during the
production.
8. Publication of material in the journal means that the author assigns copyright to Al-
Mu’amalat. However, author may use his/her material in order publications
acknowledging Al-Mu’amalat as the original places of publication.
