is one of the media that was used to share data and information, to share pictures
and video, and to communicate with each other. The most social media used are
Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Tiktok. Social media has become a
new way in communication and socialization. The use of social media is increasing
year to year. However, social media has many impacts on its users. It influences
their behavior especially on cyberbullying and hoax spread.

Social media influences behavior in cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is
bullying that is done through information technology. Several studies have shown
that it has become most widely used as a medium for cyberbullying. Also,
cyberbullying activities on social media are carried and experienced by
teenagers. This is because the most active users of social media are teenagers and
they hard to control their emotions. The freedom on social media allows them to
comment everything including negative comments. They feel free to do anything
to their social media. They can even use fake accounts to do bullying on social
media. Also, the features that social media have now give more creativity.
Through social media they show their self and existence by making videos or photos.
Other hand, through this, they share photos and videos that become bullying
materials. In some cases, cyberbullying by editing videos or photos is called a meme
to be bullied. Also, people will give comments, critics and opinions, such as laughing,
and mocking. According to a study, most cyberbullying is Harassment. It is by
sending messages that contain rant, anger, and violence continuously.

Using social media not only in interaction and socialization, but also can get
more data and information. Social media influences behavior in hoax spread.
Hoax spread is fake or wrong news and information. The massive user that it has,
makes people browse and get information from this media. A study has shown that
92,4 from respondents said they get hoaxes from social media such as Twitter,
Facebook, and Instagram. It is bigger than from websites and other media. Also,
some easy features on social media make it easy for users to spread hoaxes.
Some social media connected each other, and people can share it easily. Users
share information and data through social media without filtering. In social media we
can get up to date news every second. People interact with each other to respond to
what is happening now in social media.

peoples use in life days to socializing and getting information, it influences on
behavior in cyberbullying and hoax spread. Besides, the ease in using it, the freedom
on social media, and the features of social media includes it. People must control

everything we share can be seen by others. Also, people must be careful in using
social media right now. Some rules have been made for people who abuse social
