5 generations of unmistakable professionalism
The Dewulf R3060, 2-row potato harvester, is often imitated but never
equalled. In 1989, Dewulf achieved a milestone with the introduction
of the first self-propelled, three-wheeled, side-mounted potato harvester
with gooseneck control. For this exquisite concept, Dewulf received
the famous Gouden Aar during the 1990 Agribex exhibition in Brussels,
Belgium. The outstanding harvester sets itself apart from the rest
due to its unprecedented manoeuvrability and the ability to
continue harvesting when others were forced to stop.
1989: R3000 Since the ground to be
harvested has not been driven
over, harvesting can be completed
in very extreme conditions without
damaging the potato baulks. The
balanced weight distribution ensures
excellent stability both in the field
and on the road.

Regardless of whether potatoes are harvested for fresh food shops, seed-potato cultivation or the processing industry,
mechanical damage results in significant losses. The R3060 has been designed to allow not only drop heights to be kept
to a minimum and but also cleaning modules to be set according to the conditions.
Equipped with three sieving webs, the R3060 guarantees unparalleled sieving capacity, which limits drop heights to an
absolute minimum. The direction of the first and second sieving webs can also be reversed. The second sieving web
comes standard equipped with 1 rotary and 2 eccentric agitators. If extra cleaning is desired, a rotary agitator can be
added to the first sieving web and an eccentric agitator can be added to the third sieving web. These are speed adjustable
and can be turned on and off independently. For the first and second sieving web a choice can be made between the
standard conveyors with pitch 36-40-44-50. The third sieving web can be equipped with pitch 35-40-44-50.

Innovations that make you a better driver
The supporting capacity of the potato baulks can vary depending on weather conditions. APC allows the driver
to pre-set the desired pressure on the diabolos (e.g. reduce pressure in wet conditions) to perfectly match the
actual conditions.
If there is not enough soil on the sieving webs, potatoes can start to roll. In such cases, the tubers are not
supported sufficiently. This impairs quality immediately. This occurs, for example, when digging in or
when the speed suddenly decreases while harvesting. The relationship between driving speed and the
speed of the harvesting webs is not proportional. Dewulf therefore developed DSC,
which reduces potatoes rolling backwards to an absolute minimum. DSC enables
the driver to synchronise the speed of the sieving webs with the driving speed.
ADC works using a sensor on each diabolo, one controlling the cylinder of the harvesting unit
on the left and the other controlling the cylinder of the support wheel on the right. Through the
harvesting display the desired depth can be entered which the system translates automatically into a
certain angle for the diabolo. In this way, the pressure on the potato baulk is relieved and the desired depth is
8 retained.
Always has control of the conditions at any place
Hedgehog belts
As standard, the R3060 is fitted with 2 hedgehog belts. Thanks
to the large surface of the hedgehog belts and the possibility of
adjusting the speed and inclination, varying conditions
can be dealt with optimally.
The unique design of the hedgehog belts (hedgehog belt with
cleaning module) in combination with the axial rollers guarantees
an unrivalled cleaning capacity. Soil and clods are immediately
removed from the product flow and deposited on the parcel.
Axial rollers
In wet conditions, harvested potatoes tend to stick together in
clods. The R3060 transports the potato flow first over the wide
lower hedgehog belt which breaks up the large clods before they
reach the axial rollers. This increases the cleaning capacity of the
axial module. The potato flow is perfectly distributed across the
full width of the axial table. This optimal distribution allows the
potatoes to fully utilise the cleaning capacity of the axial rollers.
The varying length of the axial rollers ensures that the ring elevator is filled across the full width and this
guarantees highly potato-friendly transport. The speed of the axial rollers is adjustable and the parallelogram
construction allows changes in the incline while not affecting the incline of the hedgehog belt. The parallelogram
construction between the third sieving web, hedgehog belt and axial rollers also ensures that falling heights remain
constant, regardless of the position of the axial rollers.
Easyclean
Easyclean is the perfect module for people who work on fields of
moderate soil composition or that are cloddy and stony. Thanks to
this unique combination with a double hedgehog belt, this module
with transverse roller pairs is highly efficient in a wide range of
conditions, from extremely dry to very wet. The simple design
ensures for speedy switchover.
NEW
Thanks to Flexyclean® you are highly flexible in terms of cleaning.
With a variable bypass system you are able to distribute the
potatoes across the axial rollers from 0 to 100%. This ensures that
you always have the required cleaning of the product in accordance
with the conditions that you face. Flexyclean® is only available in
combination with axial rollers.

A work environment in which you feel at home.
With the roomy new Claas cabin, Dewulf has created a spacious working
environment focused on the driver. Comfort and ergonomics have been
given new meaning. The cabin is located precisely above the harvesting
shares to guarantee a good view of the harvesting process. The new
control via the joystick, harvesting display and traction display allow the
driver to operate the machine easily and comfortably. All controls have
been placed close together to allow easy, convenient operation.
There are pedals to operate the rear steering. In addition to the
spacious environment in general, there is also more storage space
and an optional refrigerated cool box can be provided
in the cab to accompany the driver through the long days.
In the cabin, the entire product flow can be monitored using the 6 cameras
and 2 x 10 inch colour monitors. Quad-view even allows images from 4
cameras to be displayed on one monitor. For extra comfort, Dewulf has
included a mounting bar with control buttons that allows one to switch
between the various cameras, making bending over unnecessary. The bar
also allows various peripheral devices to be attached.
Driving with the R3060 is sublime. By using Cruise Control, the ideal
harvesting speed can be set and returned to time after time to allow the
driver to fully concentrate on harvesting. Regardless of the weather
conditions, the driver always enjoys the ideal temperature, maintained by
the standard equipped automatic air conditioning.

Ease of working means quick working
Dewulf has done everything to make the R3060 as easy as possible to operate. Dewulf has for example designed
an ergonomic joystick, which is very comfortable in the hand and easy to operate without requiring too many hand
movements. The stick’s X and Y axes are used to adjust the speed of the machine. The joystick has 20 buttons so
that sufficient functions can be operated directly. Furthermore, it is possible to link various harvesting parameters in 5
configurable preselections. In this way, you change the complete setting of the machine with a single press of a button.
The control system consists of an upper (traction parameter) and a lower (harvesting parameter) display.
