Linear Asset Management Config.

Purpose:
The purpose of this document is to describe the general configuration steps required to manually
set up the configuration within the system landscape that has already been installed using the
corresponding installation or configuration guides for installation.

Configuration:
Defining organizational Area:
Follow the below mentioned path for def. Organizational area
Here on the Change View “Organizational Area for Characteristics with Linear Data“ screen, choose
New Entries to create the following entries
Give the class type as 002 and 003.

And save
Setting View Profiles:

1. On the Change View “Definition of view profiles“: Overview screen choose New Entries to create the
following profile
2. On the Change View “Definition of view profiles“: Overview screen select Profile YLAM_EQP and
YLAM_FL accordingly, then choose Dialog Structure: Activity and layout of views to input the
following values:
For YLAM_EQP:
For Profile YLAM_FL:

And Now Choose Save.

On the Change View “Definition of view profiles“: Overview screen select Profile YLAM_EQP and YLAM_FL
accordingly, then choose Dialog Structure: Icons and texts of views to input the following values:
YLAM_EQP:
 YLAM_FL:

And now Choose Save.

Defining Category of Function Location:
On the Change View “Functional Location Category“ Overview screen, choose New Entries to create the
following entries and save.

Maintaining Equipment Categories

On the Change View “EquipCategories“: Overview screen, check and verify the following entries and
chose save.

Defining characteristic Group:

Now the characteristic group is created.
