SCENE 1 [DENIAL]

Bedroom — Day 1.

While skimming through her phone, Jonalyn received a news from her friend that tells that their
mutual friend died.

 (Phone rings)
JONALYN: “Hello, who’s this?”

(Phone-sound effect)
FRIEND 1: “Jonalyn, this is [—]. It's been a while, hasn't it? Anyway, I don't want to
waste your time with greetings, so I'll get right to it. Do you recall [Friend 2, the
deceased]?”

(Scratching her head)

JONALYN : “Yeah? Of course I do, she’s my best friend after all. What about her?”
(Nervousness should be heard in her voice.)

FRIEND 1 (Hesitant) : “... She’s dead.”

(Nervous laughter)
JONALYN: “Ha.Ha.Ha! Silly! Of course she’s not... Your pranks won’t work on me
anymore. Just because you were a famous prankster back then, it automatically means
that you can fool me. Stop your jokes. That’s not funny.”
FRIEND 1(Shouts):  “BUT SHE IS DEAD, JONALYN! I am not joking, and most
importantly, I ain't pranking you. Why would I joke about that? Who in their right mind
would…”

JONALYN (Crying) :  No, you’re lying... You’re lying. It can’t be happening. OF

COURSE SHE’S NOT DEAD! JUST BECAUSE YOUR LIFE IS MISERABLE
ENOUGH, YOU WOULD MAKE MINE! STOP SPOUTING NONSENSE! DON’T
WASTE MY TIME EVER AGAIN.
(The call ended)

JONALYN (Mumbling) : “This can’t be happening, right? She’s not dead, will never be...
Of course she would die someday— but not at this age, not at this timeline... I can’t.”

— Receives a message from her FRIEND 2’s parents telling that her friend is really dead, and
she got to go to her funeral.

SCENE 2 [ANGER]

DAY 2

(Bedroom)   (clothes were everywhere) (she's  in the room, crying and shouting)

JONALYN (shouting): “AHHH!” (dito, nag babato na siya ng mga gamit, like damit,
anything na makita niya)

JONALYN (crying):  “Hindi to pwede” (sampal sa sarili)  “Hindi pwedeng patay na siya”
[CC: “No, this is not possible” (slaps herself) “She cannot be dead”] 

(while trying to convince herself na hindi pa patay ang kaibigan niya ay naupo siya sa sulok ng 
kwarto niya)
 
(Habang umiiyak siya, dito na yung part na nag start na yung flashback)

*FLASH BACK*

 DAY 1 of flashack

*Messenger Sound* (lumapit siya sa kama niya para tignan kung sino ang nag chat)

*input here name ng friend niya sa notification ngphone niya*

(after niyang makita name ng kaibigan niya ay muli niyang tinapon yung phone niya pabalik ng
kama saka huminga ng malalim)
(Hindi pa siya nakakalayo mula sa kama niya at tumunog uli yung phone niya)

*PHONE RINGS* 

JONALYN (annoyed): “Bakit ba tawag siya ng tawag” *pinatay yung tawag*

[CC: “Why is she keep calling?”]

DAY2 OF FLASHBACK

(In this scene kasama niya ibang friends niya at nagagala sila) 

(While laughing with her friends bilang tumunog phone niya, indication na may tumawag uli sa
kanya)

*PHONE RINGS*

FRIEND 1: “ Uy sagutin mo na yan!” *tumawa*

[CC: “Hey, answer that!”]

JONALYN (hesitant): “titigil din to, tara na”

[CC: she’ll stop soon, Let’s go”]

FRIEND 1 (curious): “kanina pa tawag ng tawag yan sayo, Baka may kailangan bakit
hindi mo try sagutin” 
[CC: She’s been calling you forever, maybe she needs some help? Why don't you try to
answer it?]

*KINAGABIHAN After ng gala niya with friends*

JONALYN (nakahiga siya sa kama niya scrolling on her phone when her friends chat her
again)
(annoyed): “Ang kulit naman nito” [CC:  “She’s so annoying”] 

(she leave her friend on ‘SEEN’ bago niya i ignore message yung friend niya sa chat)

*END OF FLASHBACK*

SCENE 3 [BARGAINING]

BARGAINING, bedroom — DAY 3

JONALYN (ALL MONOLOGUE) (Basta, parang nasisiraan ng bait dito, ngingiti, tatawa,
iiyak, lahat na)— baguhin ko pa term nito
Isn't there still a chance she'll be alive? She will awaken. She will speak to me as if there is no
tomorrow... I have a lot of plans for us... I still have a lot of things to say to her. That I am
grateful to be her friend, and that I wish her success. How is that now possible? What if I didn't
let my hatred consume me? What if I simply accepted her apology and swallowed my pride?
I'm a moron... I'm so stupid…

God. Please bring her back to life if you are real. Please, sir. Please resurrect her, and I will do
better in life. Please God. Mother of everything good and holy please help me. Take me, God.
I'm your child.

SCENE 4 [DEPRESSION]

[INT.  BEDROOM- AFTERNOON] DAY 4

Jonalyn looks like a mess, not taking care of herself and mindlessly scrolling through her
phone. 

She checked her messages again hoping her best friend's name will appear, but there are only
messages from her parents and other friends worrying about her. 

She ignored it and just threw her phone somewhere.   

JONALYN(sigh, look pitiful): “JELA what am I supposed to do now?  “

JONALYN (hurtful laugh) : “I'm sorry, I should have been there. I'm sorry I didn't answer
my phone. I'm sorry if I'm stubborn.”

SHE feels nothing, at that moment she just wants to disappear, thinking she is a useless friend.

She could have been with her friend right now if she wasn't selfish and forgave her friend. 

Suddenly her phone RINGS a reminder. She checked her phone for the 10th year in the
reminder.

She opened the reminder and saw a picture of her with a friend, it is a candid photo of them
taken during the first time they went out alone together.

She sat on the floor and just stared at their photo.

[CUT TO: INT. OUTSIDE THE BEDROOM - MOMENT LATER]

MOTHER is worried about her daughter's health, because she has never left her room since she
received the news about her friend's death. She won't even eat the food she gave her food unless
she forced her to eat. It's lunchtime so she decided to bring her food again. 
She knocked on the door.

MOTHER  :  “Jonalyn, it's lunchtime, I bought you some food.”

She didn't hear an answer. 

MOTHER : “1'm coming in Jonalyn.”

[INT. BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER]

She opened the door and saw her daughter sitting on the floor staring at her phone, lifeless. She
placed the food she bought wherever she could and  rushed to her daughter filled with worries.

MOTHER (worried voice) : “Honey, what happened are you ok?”

She looked at her daughter's face. SHE looked lifeless staring at her friend's photo on her
phone. She caresses her daughter's face. 

MOTHER (worried):  “ Jonalyn what happened? Please tell me, I'm worried about you.

She caresses her daughter's face. Jonalyn started talking.

JONALYN (regretful) : “It's my fault, I could have been with her. I always tell her that I
got her back but in the end disappoint her. 

MOTHER hugged her daughter and comforted her.

MOTHER : “It's not your fault ok?, it's no one's fault. I'm sure she doesn't blame you.
Jela is a good kid, do you think she'll be happy when she sees you blaming yourself for her
death right now.”

Smiling face of her friend suddenly crossed  her mind.

SHE started crying in her mother's arm, like a kid who is hurt for the first time crying to her
mother.

JONALYN (crying) : “Mom, it hurts so much. I miss her so much but she won't come
back. No matter how much I regret everything she won't come back. She's dead”

MOTHER continues to comfort her daughter and let her let out everything she feels.

MOTHER: “I know honey, and it's ok... let it out. Your mom is here. You can cry all you
want. You'll be fine. It's not your fault”
 SCENE 5 [ACCEPTANCE]

Day 5

[Nasa bahay na siya ng kaibigan niya kung saan naka burol]

(Habang papasok siya sa loob, may halong sakit yung smile niya habang pinagmamasdan yung
kabaong ng friend niya)

JONALYN (crying) : “Sorry” *sobs* [CC: Sorry]

(Dito kasama niya yung MAMA niya na dumalaw sa burol ng kaibigan niya)

(Habang umiiyak ay nilapitan siya nung Mother nung friend na saka sila nag yakapan)

FRIEND’S MOTHER (sobbing) : “Bakit ngayon ka lang ija?” 

[CC: “What took you so long?”]

JONALYN (crying) : “Pasensya na po, hindi ko po kase matanggap yung biglang

pagkamatay ni JELA” 
[CC: “ i apologise, I still can't accept the fact that JELA is already dead”]

JONALYN’S MOTHER : “Nahirapan pa akong kausapin siya para lang tanggapin ang
pagkamatay ng kaibigan niya” 
[CC:  “I even found it difficult to talk to her just to accept the death of his friend. ”]

JONALYN : “late ko na rin po na realize mga pagkukulang ko bilang kaibigan kay JELA,
sana ay mapatawad niya pa ako” 
[CC: “It's too late for me to realize my shortcomings as a friend to JELA, I hope she will
forgive me] 

JONALYN : “Sana lang ay mapatawad niya ako dahil sa mga panahong kailangan niya
ako ay wala ako”
[CC: I just hope he forgives me because the times she needs me, I am not there”]

FRIEND’S MOTHER: “Sigurado akong mapapatawad ka niya Ija, sa ngayon ay

tanggapin na lang natin ang kapalaran ng kaibigan mo”
[CC: "I'm sure he can forgive you Ija, for now let's just accept your friend's fate"]

(dito ay nagtanguan na lang sila saka naupo sa magkabilang gilid ng kabaong)

(Insert BGM na lang dito,  sa part na to wala ng sasabihin parang nagkukwentuhan na lang
sila)

(then timeskip sa part na ililibing na yung friend hanggang niya)

(after mailibing, mag uuwian na lahat ng nakiramay, then maiiwan si Jonalyn sa simenteryo
saka siya mag iiwan ng white rose at pagpapakawala siya ng puting lobo)
