Doesn’t it tug at our heartstrings when we read about the destruction

and death that goes on every day in the now desolate lands of
Yemen? Don’t we wish we could contribute something, anything, to
help the people there while we sit in our beds, scrolling through
Instagram and Facebook?

Our school has got hundreds of students, Alhamdulillah. And we are

always taught the importance of helping those who are weak,
oppressed against, and are needy of our financial help.
One thing we noticed was that the students of our school would like
to donate to a cause like helping those are affected by war and
famine, but they are unable to, due to two reasons.
1. They are too young and don’t have access to a bank account,
and are unable to donate, even if they would like to.
2. The students don’t have access to too much money, and they
think any contribution that is less than a few thousand is
worthless.
We are here to solve both of those problems!
Under the subsection “The Origin”, we discuss how we plan to solve
the first problem, and as for the second problem, it is only a problem
when you are the sole donator to a cause. But when hundreds of
students donate collectively, every rupee counts. It would be
possible to reach a significant sum of money that could potentially,
InshaAllah, help dozens of people who are less fortunate than us.
So how did this idea come about?
I, Jamal Haneef, am, Alhamdulillah, a part of a Non-Profit
Organization based in Canada, that goes by the name “Yemen Art
Relief”, and helps provide a platform for artists to sell their art and
use part of the artwork’s profit to help the people in need in Yemen.
In the organization’s own words -
“Yemen Art Relief (YAR) is a non-profit, non-political organization
on a mission to provide relief to the people of Yemen through funds
raised from donated art.”
Being a part of such an organization, I can reach out to various
people and organizations who can help us with properly distributing
funds to the people of Yemen.

Our plan is simple. We wish to host an event at our school that can
act as a fundraiser. We require support and help from the teachers,
the principal, and the management to pull this off.
We are discussing further details at the moment, and we will have a
more detailed plan as soon as we can, InshaAllah.
This was just designed to help get our idea across, and to gain
approval from the respected authority to carry forward with our
plan.
