Subject: Expanding Grenada’s Projects
Action Required: To Increase Marketing and Outreach for Grenada
Distribution List: Grenada’s Operational Teams

The new age of our organization is now here, but with that coming, we need help from each team
to make our goals come to reality. Grenada had large success on our last project, thanks to each
one of you and your teams. It has become evident, however, that our local projects have now all
been successfully completed. This begs the question of what is next for Grenada? We believe
that it is time for us to extend our helping hand to all Small Island Developing States. This is a
hefty task, but it is one our company is more than equipped to handle.

Summary
Our organization, Grenada, has successfully created the world’s first climate-smart city on the
island of Grenada. By creating natural infrastructure to help fortify Maritimes and places of
interest, whether economic or environmental, the island of Grenada is now equipped to handle
the constant effects of climate change. However, there are still countless Small Island
Developing States that are in desperate need of help due to the damages caused by climate
change. With rising sea levels and the frequency of storms increasing, many SIDS (Small Island
Developing States) have been left with an unstable economic and environmental situation.
Resources are so scarce on these islands, as importing and exporting along with tourism make up
most of the economy on SIDS, so any damage to their land can have catastrophic consequences.
Not only do we have the solution to this issue, but it is one that benefits these islands as well as
our teams here at Grenada. Our organization is at a standstill right now as we have no current
projects, as shown on our website. To further expand our outreach, we need help from the
marketing team to communicate with each SIDS around the globe. By establishing relations with
the environmental branches of each SIDS, we hope to make progress toward creating climate-
smart cities throughout all SIDS. The first step that we would like the marketing team to gear
toward is creating an open dialogue between our company and the Caribbean Islands. With the
world watching, creating the first climate-smart zone in the Caribbean would have a huge impact
on both our reputation and our movement. We believe this to be the spark for our new methods
of creating natural infrastructures to combat climate change and would like each of you to help
us get ignite this idea into fruition.
Grenada’s Need for Outreach
Our organization, Grenada, has successfully created the world’s first climate-smart city on the
island of Grenada. By creating natural infrastructure to help fortify Maritimes and places of
interest, whether economic or environmental, the island of Grenada is now equipped to handle
the constant effects of climate change. However, there are still Small Island Developing States
that are suffering from climate change just like the island of Grenada was. While tactics like sea
walls, water pumping, and road raising have been deployed by the governments of SIDS to
combat the issues of rising sea levels among other factors, the economic health and
environmental infrastructure of these SIDS are continuing to struggle. Our current project list is
vacant, and our teams are ready to make the impact that we all signed on to do, to reestablish the
economic and environmental health of small island developing states and reduce the destructive
hold that climate change has on these islands just like it had on our home island of Grenada. The
first step that we would like the marketing team to gear toward is creating an open dialogue
between our company and the Caribbean Islands. With the world watching, creating the first
climate-smart zone in the Caribbean would have a huge impact on both our reputation and our
movement. We believe this to be the spark for our new methods of creating natural
infrastructures to combat climate change and would like each of you to help us get ignite this
idea into fruition.

Conclusion
It will take all of us to extend Grenada’s reach and make real change on these islands. With there
being 52 small island developing states across the globe, it is important for us to set our sights on
certain regions so that we remain organized and consistent. While our marketing team will be the
initiators with these different governments, we ask that all teams remain ready to assist the
marketing team in whatever way seems fitting.

Recommendations
Expanding Grenada’s outreach will require expansive communication with Small Island
Developing States. It is our recommendation that the marketing team contact contacts the
environmental branch of each Small Island Developing State’s government, if applicable, to
establish our mission and proceed accordingly. It is our mission to create “climate-smart cities”
in SIDS (small island developing states) around the globe, as we have already done so on the
island of Grenada. Feel free to share our work on Grenada, and if they have any questions
regarding our methods, share their contact information with the On-Site teams and they will
contact them shortly.
In our efforts to expand our outreach, our primary goal at this current state is to make the
Caribbean Islands the first ever “climate smart zone”, so it is our hope that the marketing team
will be able to contact each government for these SIDS to increase their interest in our work.
This may act as a good starting point, to help illustrate the aid we offer, and eventually reach
SIDS located in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.
