[27/06 8:05 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Let's talk about Fiverr today
[27/06 8:07 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: I was prompted to learn more about Fiverr in 2015 when a
friend of mine was making it real big on Fiverr!
In fact, as of that year, he had made more than a million naira writing CVs and cover letter for
foreign clients
And so I also took up the challenge to learn and also study more.
It was basically created for people (freelancers) to get jobs or gigs from 5 dollars upwards.
Even though Fiverr orders start from $5, it does not mean that your services must start from $5.
There is graphics design, web dev, business dev, animation, writing etc.
On Upwork, you need to answer some strict questions and if you don't have the script to the right
answers, it won't be accepted
[27/06 8:13 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *2. It's a perfect work from home platform.*
I've seen people who bought cars from their Fiverr earnings working from the comfort of their
homes, in their boxers, on the comfort of their beds
[27/06 8:13 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: I don't need to work for anyone. My Fiverr earnings will
cripple what some government workers make.
Plus, it gives me time to serve God. I can go for any service I want at any time I want to knowing
that I can come back to write articles early in the morning
[27/06 8:13 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: We all need the money and the time to serve God and pursue
purpose
When I deal with Fiverr clients, I charge between $10-$20 for 500 words (that's like 3600 for
500 words) but in Naija, some clients can price you for N500 for 1000 words. 😂😂
Seriously, *if you know your onions, you will eat your suya*
[27/06 8:24 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Opening a fiverr account is as simple as opening any social
media account..
But.. Here are some rules you should consider especially for the writing niche..
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *Always choose a username related to what you want to
offer on fiverr.*.in this case writing.
Under writing, I'd go for names like writing_guru, content_king, Copywriter_Jane etc
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: This helps your buyer identify with you even before they
contact you.
You should know that no two persons can use the same username.. You have to be creative..
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: You are to complete your registration as *a seller.*
You are coming to sell.. But you can still use the a account to buy later
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: You are a seller.. The people who buy are the buyers
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Make sure the phone number you are making use of will be
with you for a long time.. This is because when it is time for payment, you will be doing phone
verification 😊
[27/06 8:25 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *No code, no money*
[27/06 8:30 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *One of the best kept secrets of Fiverr success is modelling.*
[27/06 8:30 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *If you model the best, you will soon become the best.*
[27/06 8:30 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: This rule is so essential in life too
They don't offer any services; they are just there to buy.
Never get into an issue with a buyer, fiverr will always support them..
Why?
Someone who offers gigs up for sale, just like you will be.
There are also lots of sellers, so you must learn to distinguish yourself and take a portion of the
market
There are people who come to buy and people who come strictly to sell..
If you don't have goods (a skill), nobody buys from you, you are just there for window
shopping..
3 Gig This is any service offered by sellers on Fiverr which a buyer can purchase
_I will write a high converting product description for your ecommerce store_
I will talk more about gigs and how to create one soon..
But it is sweeter when you deliver and your seller marks your order as complete.. 😍😍
This shows how quickly you respond to the first message from a buyer within the first 24 hours.
That is why I recommend you stay online always (with their app) and respond very fast to
clients when they make enquiry.
[27/06 8:39 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *6 Revenue:*
This is the money that you earn from sales of your gig.
After you've delivered a job. The buyer is requested to give you a review..
Reviews are like feedbacks and they are always published on your profile.
The more your positive (5 star reviews), the more people will feel comfortable to do business
with you..
I don't joke with my work and reviews oo🙂
[27/06 8:39 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: So after you've created your account and done all the
descriptions, *the next thing is to create a gig*
[27/06 8:39 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: We've said it that a gig is any service you can offer on fiverr
Rewrite articles..
Again, remember the rule 1 of Fiverr? Always check what the gurus are doing
So before you set your price, check what the masters collect and bring your own down small..
If the masters are taking $20 for 1,000 words, start from $10 first. It will get you jobs too. when
you get enough reviews, orders and you become known, you can increase it
[27/06 8:42 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *Overview*
The overview contains the gig title, cartegory, metadata and tags
*Gig title*: _I will do something I'm really good at._
Put your gig title there... *I will* is always on default and cannot be erased. Don't put I will
again.
SEO Tips, start each letter with a capital letter. Make one of the word full CAPS.
1.Overview
2. Pricing
5. Gallery
6. Publish
[27/06 8:42 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Under Requirement, ask them to drop what you will need to
get started.
Don't forget our first law of Fiverr: *Model the pros*. You can always open three profiles in
different tabs and see what they did
Describe your gig so well that anyone who reads it will run with your order
Remember what we said about FAQs, ask and answer questions that will build trust..
You must not put FAQ sha, it’s not by force but if you want to, again I say, model the pros.
Always leave a call to action on your description. _If you love to get started, order the gig now_
[27/06 8:42 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *Gallery*
That's where you need to fix your gig image. you can get some good and very clean pictures
from pixabay.com
All the pictures there are free. Just get something related to your gig.
If you are good at designs or you have a friend who is, you can get a simple design and put it.
There is also a place for video. if you have the grace, record yourself talking about your gig..
[27/06 8:42 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: After gallery is *publish*
Your gig will be sent into the market place and you can start expecting clients.
[27/06 8:45 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *How do you get clients on Fiverr?*
Make sure you create at least 5 gigs. I’ll always advice you to max out the 7 allocations as a new
seller.
You don't know which one could get favored and pushed up by Fiverr algorithm.
[27/06 8:45 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Create a minimum five gigs.
Also, it is possible to create a gig in writing and another in a different category entirely (e.g.
design or
web development).
*But for the purpose of our niche, let's continue with writing.*
[27/06 8:45 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *If you want to get jobs quickly, stay online always with
your app.*
Most buyers like it when they see people they want to work with online.
The more you stay online with your app, the better your chances of getting a job.
The better your response rate, the more fiverr believes you will answer buyers and the more
buyers they send your way.
[27/06 8:47 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *As a new seller, you can also get jobs by writing to the top
guys in your niche.*
They have lots of job to do and if you impress them with your samples, they will gladly share
articles with you.
You see, an average top rated seller in the writing niche has over 20-40 orders in queue.
My very first account, I got a $100 job using this strategy. She tested me with 5$, I delivered, she
did with $20, I delivered well and she gave me 30 product descriptions for $100.
fiverr is to get jobs from them to build your portfolio and reviews
[27/06 8:47 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: That's just a sample.☝
Hello,
My name is Jane and I’m so proud of how you have become so successful on Fiverr..
I looked through your profile with so much amazement and I read your reviews with
astonishment.
Seeing the large number of jobs, you get, I want to humbly ask that you outsource some of your
writings to me.
I promise to deliver high quality articles that will be 100% unique and pass copyscape.
I will also deliver in record time, giving you time to concentrate on other important tasks and
family.
I have samples and I am willing to write on any topic for free to get started.
[27/06 8:49 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: Another way to get jobs is to apply for jobs with the buyer
request feature on fiverr.
The buyer request feature as the name entails is where buyers request for services from sellers by
posting specifically what they want.
It’s about writing a good proposal explaining how you can solve their problem with your skill.
Again, If you know your onions in Copywriting, life becomes easy everywhere...even on buyer
requests.
If you have not created a gig, you won't see buyer request.
[27/06 8:50 pm] Prof Emma Akp2: *Another way to get clients and keep them is by upselling.*
Bring them in with the $5 jobs, when they come, sell the big and better things to them.
Magnet them with the $5 jobs first. When they come, suggest your big jobs to them.
I have a gig where I give 25 blog post ideas for just $5 and 50 for $10.
Go the extra mile and do the things they didn't ask you to do. But you know will be useful to the
work.
