Narrative Report on School LAC in English

The teaching staffs of Tamaro-Tamaro Elementary School together with their School Head,
Dr. Nancy B. Gutierrez conducted an interactive School LAC Session in English on August 25,
2017.

The program started with a prayer led by Mrs. Dianne A. Rayray , followed by the singing
of national anthem and Pangasinan Hymn conducted by Mrs. Jennifer A. Taguiang and an
energizer through the effort of Mrs. Sandra J. Galcon. Dr. Nancy B. Gutierrez, the School Head of
Tanolong Elementary School orient everyone warmly on the SLAC..

Mrs. Jocelyn D. Caliyon, Master Teacher I, shared her expertise on How to Assess and
Validate the Phil-IRI Oral and Silent Reading Test in English. The second topic was Effective
Approach and Techniques in Teaching English discussed by Mrs. Mercedita F. Pagsolingan and to
know more insights on Reading Readiness of the Learners, K-12 Language and Curriculum tackled
Dr. Sandra J. Galcon. The SLAC Session ended with an Open Forum about the querries of the
teachers in teaching English to the learners.

The School Learning Action Cell was conducted to the teachers to become more effective in
implementing the K-12 Curriculum for the reading readiness of the learners, to develop the
teachers skill in K-12 Language and Literacy in that sharpens educational abilities, to learn on how
to assess and validate the Phil-IRI Oral and Silent Reading Test and to enhance skills on the
effective approach and techniques in English
