I belong to a Punjabi family, so we really like spicy food. Everybody ate it and
admired my cooking skills.
Cooking really is an art. It takes a lot of time but the result is
fruitful. As it's rightly said.-

 सरोजनी नायडू का जन्म 13 फरवरी, 1879 को हुआ
था. उनकी माता वरदा सुंदरी और पिता अघोरनाथ
चट्टोपाध्याय थे जो निजाम कालेज के संस्थापक
रसायन वैज्ञानिक थे. सरोजनी नायडू के पिता चाहते थे
कि उनकी पुत्री भी वैज्ञानिक बने लेकिन ऐसा हो ना
सका. सरोजनी नायडू को कविताओं से प्रेम था और
वह इस प्रेम को कभी त्याग ना सकीं.

भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में बेहद अहम योगदान देने

वाली सरोजनी नायडू विचारों से एक कवयित्री थीं.
ऐसे में उनके ख्याल हमेशा आजाद रहे लेकिन
आजादी के बाद देश को एक बेहतरीन मुकाम तक
ले जाने के लिए उन्हें एक विशेष कार्यभार दिया गया.
उन्हें उत्तर प्रदेश का राज्यपाल नियुक्त कर दिया गया.
उत्तर प्रदेश विस्तार और जनसंख्या की दृष्टि से देश
का सबसे बड़ा प्रांत था. उस पद को स्वीकार करते
हुए उन्होंने कहा था कि मैं अपने को ‘क़ै द कर दिये
गये जंगल के पक्षी‘ की तरह अनुभव कर रही हूं.
लेकिन वह जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी का बेहद सम्मान
करती थीं और उनकी इच्छा को वह टाल ना सकीं.
 13 साल की उम्र में पहली कविता और
नाटक

सरोजनी नायडू ने मात्र 13 वर्ष की आयु में ही

1300 पदों की ‘झील की रानी‘ नामक लंबी
कविता और लगभग 2000 पंक्तियों का एक
विस्तृत नाटक लिखकर अंग्रेजी भाषा पर अपनी
पकड़ का उदाहरण दिया था. सरोजनी नायडू को
शब्दों की जादूगरनी कहा जाता था. वह
बहुभाषाविद थीं. वह क्षेत्रानुसार अपना भाषण
अंग्रेज़ी, हिन्दी, बंगला या गुजराती भाषा में देती
थीं.

पहला कविता संग्रह

सरोजिनी नायडू का प्रथम कविता-संग्रह ‘द गोल्डन

थ्रेशहोल्ड’ [The Golden Threshold]
(1905) में प्रकाशित हुआ जो आज भी पाठकों
के बीच बेहद लोकप्रिय है. अंग्रेजी भाषा का
अधिक से अधिक ज्ञान अर्जित करने के लिए
सरोजनी नायडू इंग्लैंड भी गईं लेकिन वहां का
मौसम अनुकू ल ना होने के वजह से वह 1898 में
ही इंग्लैंड से लौट आईं.
 भारत देश है हमारा बहुत प्यारा,
सारे विश्व में है यह सबसे न्यारा,
अलग-अलग हैं यहां सभी के रूप रंग,
पर सुर सब एक ही गाते,
झंडा ऊं चा रहे हमारा,
हर परदेश की है यहाँ अलग एक जुबान,
पर मिठास कि है सभी में शान,
अनेकता में एकता को पिरोकर,
सबने हाथ से हाथ मिलाकर देश संवारा,
लगा रहा है अब भारत सारा,
“हम सब एक हैं” का नारा,
भारत देश है हमारा बहुत प्यारा,
सारे विश्व में है यह सबसे न्यारा||

Music
 The drums we now call the tabla most likely
appeared somewhere between the late 1600s and
the late 1700s. The small amount of historical
evidence suggests that the tabla evolved in South
Asia. Since the 18th century, tabla has been the
principal percussion instrument in Hindustani
classical music. Famous artists are Zakir Hussain
and Sukhwinder Singh.

SHEHNAI

Shehnai (or surnai) the wind instrument is believed

to have been introduced in India by the Muslims.
One of the most prominent occasions it is used is
the ensemble called the naubat (or nahabet), which
was played at the courts of the Mughal emperors. It
has been believed to bring good luck that is why in
North Indian marriages and processions Shenani
is predominantly played . The artists which play
Shehnai are Ustad Bismillah Khan and Ahmed

 A bansuri is a side blown flute originating from the
Indian subcontinent.It is referred to as nadi and tunava
in the Rigveda and other Vedic texts of Hinduism. The
bansuri is revered as Lord Krishna's divine instrument
and is often associated with Krishna's Rasa lila dance.
These legends sometimes use alternate names for this
wind instrument, such as the murali.
SHAURYA SINGH

The dholak is a two-headed hand drum, a folk percussion

instrument. It is widely used in qawwali, kirtan, lavani and
bhangra. The drum has two different sized drumheads.
Dholak is one of the most important instruments of folk
music. It is used for accompaniment for singing and
dancing. In some styles of playing (such as Punjab and
Haryana) an iron thumb ring is used to produce a
distinctive "chak" rim sound. In other styles (such as
Rajasthani), all fingers are generally used. The artist
which played Dholak are Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
