SUPPLIES:

• Yarn 4/Medium Weight Yarn in...

Pink, light pink, yellow, black, and
white
• 4mm Crochet Hook
• 12mm safety eyes
•Tapestry needle
•Scissors
•Stuffing
•Wire for bending leg (Optional)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Difficulty: Easy

• Supplies information
I found my inexpensive wire in the floral section at JoAnn Fabrics in a
pack. The wire is recommended if you want the legs to be bendable.
However, you can also sew the leg to be bent if you don't have wire!

• Getting started
This pattern is pretty easy as long as you understand how to work
entirely around a chain. Luckily I include a lot of pictures showing how
to do this! The flamingo's head, neck, and body are all made in one
continuous piece. We will start by making the head and working our
way down to the body. After this, we'll make the beak, wings, feet, and
legs. Let's get started!

Finish off now, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Almost done!
All we have to do is assemble the legs together and
sew them to the flamingo! See the next page on
how to do this.
10

Leg assembly:
Take a piece of wire, slightly longer than the leg (Pic 1). Bend both ends as
shown (this is so they won't poke out of the leg, Pic 2). Insert the wire into

the toy's leg (Pic 3). Now stuff the leg by taking a small piece of stuffing

and rubbing it between your hands a few times, this will help it bunch up

(Pic 4). Now place it over the opening of the leg and stuff in with the end of
a crochet hook (Pic 5). Once fully stuffed, place the leg onto the foot (Pic

6). Sew on, going from through the toy's leg, to the foot (Pic 7). Then, sew
through the toy's foot, then to the toy's leg (Pic 8). Repeat this until it's fully

sewn on (Pic 9). Pin both legs to the bottom of the toy flamingo and sew

on! (You can sew on by pulling the yarn from the bottom of the leg, up to

the top of the leg.)

Bend the leg as you wish!

Note: If you don't have wire to bend the leg, you can
simply bend it as shown to the picture on the left, then
sew it in place by sewing through the bent area.
