4. Discuss the importance of mathematics in one’s life.

- The importance of mathematics in our life is that we can apply it anywhere. Mathematics is our
universal language. In fact it is the only language shared by all human being regardless of their
affiliations. It is in this shared language that we get to understand the mysteries of the universe.
Also mathematics as a language is clear and objective. Mathematical language ideas to enhance

one’s ability to correctly read, write, speak, and understand mathematics. Mathematics makes our
life orderly and prevent chaos.

Fib (n+1)/ Fib (n) = 1.618 therefore, Fib (n+1)/Fib (n) = 1.618/1 or 1.618
The inverse of Fib (n+1)/Fib (n) = Fib (n)/ Fib (n+1)
Therefore, Fib (n)/Fib(n+1) = 0.618
10. Consider Fib(3)=2. What do you notice about every third Fibonacci number? Similarly, look at Fib(4)
= 3, then Fib(8), Fib(12), Fib(16).... What seems to be the pattern behind these sequences generated from
Fibonacci numbers?
The pattern behind these sequences is you are going to add the present number to previous number. The
pattern is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21
Fib(1)=1
Fib(2)=0+1=1
Fib(3)=1+1=2
Fib(4)=1+2=3
Fib(5)=2+3=5
Fib(6)=3+5=8
Fib(7)=5+8=13
Fib(8)=8+13=21 so on and so forth.
