Values necessary for Supporting Activities :


i) Flexibility in work for employee -> Flight attendants were more concerned about the
increased workload pressures and lack of breaks between running flights. Hence some
degree of flexibility in work by providing flexible work timings for ground crew and
providing meals in between two flight transits helped to maintain the motivation
levels of the pilots.
ii) Mental and Health well-being -> Providing insurance benefits, free medical
consultations for the crew could help in maintaining the high spirits of the employees
and make them feel that the company cares for the employees and aligns them to the
objectives and goals of the firm.
iii) Communication – (Keeping Employees in the loop)-> Keeping the employees in loop,
taking their views into due consideration by the management in key decisions ensures
that the employees are aware of the importance and benefits the new decisions
deliver to the customers.
iv) Feedback -> Since Continental Lite has been facing several customer complaints
regarding issues like on-time performance and mishandled baggage, arrangements to
prevent these issues from repeating further should be taken. The feedback of the
customers should be communicated effectively with the concerned responsible staff
and providing guidance or trainings in those areas ensure that the flight provide better
value to the customers.

Supporting Activities for Key Activities :


i) Flight Attendants' services for smooth in-flight operations
ii) Activities performed by ground crew to make the aircraft ready for departure
including baggage load-up, ground clearance etc
iii) One of the major supporting activities is the Pilot services which directly links to
generating revenue
iv) Customer service representatives to cater to and provide for the ever-changing
customer needs
v) Routes operating on and schedule of flights
vi) Selling tickets via customer agents and third-party vendors
vii) Customer safety
Key Activities that Generate Revenues :
Flight Operations : It has two sources of revenues from flight operations by selling tickets of:
i) CA Lite -> Short Haul and low cost flights
ii) First class services at Business class price

Values necessary for Key Activities :


i) Low ticket prices for short haul flights
ii) Premium value services for Business class
iii) Employee Customer Engagement
iv) Quality of Services
v) Competitive Spirit – CA Lite was established on the face of high competition from
Southwest Airlines. Therefore, they truly believe in upholding and surviving
competition.
