1.

You have just won a competition and you are given a sum of money from
your university. What would you do with it: travelling to the place that you
like; giving the money to your parents for later use; buying things that you
want?
I was extremely fortunate to win an award in the competition. So I received
some money from the university where I was enrolled. And right now, all I
want to do is use it to visit Singapore, a country I'd like to visit at least once in
my life. Here are some reasons why I go long with that point of view. First and
foremost, I will feel more excited and happier when traveling. Second, it help
improve my health such as reduce stress, decrease the risk of heart disease,
increase the strength of bones and joints. In the other hand, I will have the
opportunity to meet many people, experience many local activities, improve
my English speaking skill, approach many cultures, thereby broaden my
understanding and knowledge that is not available on TV, books or any other
media. Regarding the other two options, I don’t think giving the money to my
parent for later use is suitable for me because I want to live independently and
I want enjoy going abroad. Because I’m really into adventure so I’m not buying
whatever things I want. In conclusion, travelling to the place I like is the best
choice.
2. You are given two tickets to travel to China. Who do you want to go with: your
parent(s); your best friend; your boyfriend/girlfriend?

I was fortunate enough to win two tickets to China during the lucky
draw. And the people I'd most like to travel with to explore this
country are my parents. . Here are some reasons why I go long with
that point of view. First, I want to give my parents the opportunity to
travel so that they can spend more time together because I will have
more time to travel in my life. Second, my parents will be happy and
relaxed when traveling abroad cuz my parents have a hobby of
discovering Chinese culture such as the cusine, the clothes and so on.
In terms of the other two options, It’s a pity that my best friend
can’t go with me because these days, she has to study hard for the
upcoming exam, so she has no free time. And I have no boyfriend, so
travel to China with him just happen in the imagination. That’s my
final decision to travel to China with my parents.
3. You are choosing a present for your grandmother’s 80th birthday. Which present
would you choose: a radio; a hearing aid; a ticket for her favourite play?
Grandmother is the person I adore the most. Going to her 80th
birthday, so I'd like to give her a hearing aid for her. There are some
reasons why I believe that is my best choice. First and foremost,
because my grandma is hard of hearing and she needs an assistive
device to help her hear better, so the hearing aid is a suitable device.
Second, my grandmother can hear it better and happily chats with
people without having to repeat it over and over again. A radio is
another good option for helping her listen to news or her favorite
reformist songs. However, if you can't hear clearly, no matter how
loud you turn it up, you won't be able to. A ticket to follow her
favorite book is also unreasonable because she enjoys watching
movies with her best friends. Her interest in the play was also
diminished by watching it alone. Summing up, a hearing aid is the
best choice for me as a present for my granmother’s 80th birthday.
